“Very disappointed with his professionalism. He didn't even look through my spouse's paperwork before the visit! We came on 07/19 for the epidural injection and waited for an hour and were told that the procedure would not be performed! I and my spouse wasted a half of a working day! My spouse still has pain and was waiting for the appointment for 3 months!!! Dr Chen was asking him where to make the injection, but we brought the order and we are not medical professionals.”

“Just an update on this Doctor and the UPMC East not getting back to me again after phone tag. I call the woman back and never received a call from UPMC East!! Then I get a call from UPMC mcKeesport!! I wasn't at that hospital I was at UPMC East!! I was there trying to get my work injury resolved and having this 24/7 pain helped. Dr. Chen said he has done everything he could !!! That's the biggest lie he gave me the same medicine I was on for over a year the only thing was a spinal epidural, in which they were supposed to give me something for my anxiety. They didn't but my Doctor did I told them and the fact that I took 2,00 milligrams of ibuprofen the day before my epidural and I was Told I shouldn't take ibuprofen. Then after my epidural, they let me walk out of the hospital without calling my designated driver to drive home walking down moss side Boulevard! Which I'm pretty sure is not protocol for a hospital to let people walk out. Because I was told that I couldn't get this done if I didn't have a ride which I had and they never called her. So I go and find a new doctor and they give me the runaround and I have to go to the ER room at Saint Margaret's Upmc, which I've never had a bad experience there with the security guards the doctors doctors, the receptionist nurses or anybody so do yourself a favor and don't go to Upmc East go to Upmc Saint Margaret's and Aspenwal. I will be calling Upmc one more time to try to resolve this problem and see why I'm not getting the help that you guys say you're Great doing. And not make somebody sit here and suffer and buy creams for pain that don't do anything so the doctor can get his little bonus money from a pharmaceutical company. I'm not your damn guinea pig, And you all need to take True pain and agony into consideration this is 2024. This isn't 1792 or 1830 you have modern Medication and technology I've done everything that you've asked me to and you have not helped me 1 ounce. To let a human being suffer is inhumane and unacceptable. No one should be treated like this! I just went to see another doctor that is not with UPMC and this doctor asked me why Dr.Chen discharged me????? I told this doctor I wonder the same thing, tried a few thing all the other doctors tried. With no new pain management what so ever! I even asked for a pain patch or something. Never knew I would be in so much pain without help!! What are these doctors paid to do make us worse and watch peoples lives crumble in agony pain and suffering...do yourself a favor and find another place to go it's a waste of time and energy... Watch Out!!!!!! Please do your homework before coming to this place!!!! This place gave me the impression that my pain would be managed. I was told it will take some time and I have to be patient with them. That being said I did everything they asked of me... I tried everything they gave me the same medication with a different name and had me buy a pain cream that insurance and workmans comp wouldn't pay for . The 70$ pain cream was the same as the medication I was on !!!! I have been taking around 3,000mg of ibuprofen for about 1 1/2 years and they barely took the time to try any options for me. I have back braces and knee braces. All I am told is I need surgery. I asked for something to help me sleep , walk around and try to hang with my two sons! It seems like this Dr. C doesn't care and tells me it takes months to find the right medication!!! So the hospital calls me and tell me I need a ride there and home after I get this done, my other doctor gives me something for my anxiety so I can be relaxed.this doctor does the Epidural then they let me walk out of the hospital with no call to my ride walking on the Main Street next to UPMC East !!! How is this safe for anyone !!! These doctors need to be held accountable for our safety, the procedures and patience. It's funny you can't measure PAIN. I don't care if you did a test on 100 people we're all different and some people are more severe than others and for you all not to help somebody ! Talk is cheap but action....”
