Patient Testimonials

I've been seeing Dr. Jared Wagner for about 2 years now. He is a thoughtful doctor, with a fast bedside manner that belies the fact that after you're gone, it's clear he is thinking about how to help you. The unfortunate reality, he has told me a few times now, is that I am no longer 18 years old (A disastrous medical reality!) and that things hurt more at this age. That said, I have a seriously painful back injury and though we were unsuccessful with a trigger point injection, even trying that he is very realistic with me as his patient-"I'm not going to cure you, I'm going to manage you" is appreciated as I don't get a false notion about the difficulty ahead. He and I have worked more as partners in the patient/caregiver sense and I appreciate his collaborative approach. While I still have fairly strong levels of physical pain, after some time together working with him, I feel like we are a bit closer to getting me re-engaged with life, as he states his goal for me to be, and medications have been helpful but not the be-all, end-all solution to my issue. All said I thoroughly recommend this man and his kind team and endorse his help as an improvement for me, though it's not a full solution. Thanks Dr Wager for helping me get a bit closer to what I want to do; I won't be ice-climbing or playing badminton again any time soon, but I am looking forward to lower impact activity soon and for that I am grateful.

I've been with them over 6 years already. My Only complaint is: If You're a Veteran, YOU have to ensure that none of HIS Bills end up being sent to you due to nonpayment of services and labs. If you are treated by Dr. Wagner AND his Staff, and you are a Veteran assigned to Dr. Wagner for Pain Managment BY AND FOR THE VETERANS ADMINISTRATION (V. A.), the V. A. Pays for all expenditures that Dr. Wagner AND his Staff thinks are necessary and requested AND performed so that YOU don't get billed erroneously and REPEATEDLY, almost to what is considered in my mind to be unnecessary harassment for payment. Make sure that when they request ANYTHING other than normal treatment, like labs, that THEY know they will be responsible for payment through the V. A., NOT YOU!!! Just an FYI Veterans ...

While I no longer see these guys, I wanted to take the time to leave a review. I have been suffering from chronic pain for a long time due to a military injury, and I was eventually referred to Dr. Wagner. Working with him was, compared to previous doctors I have had to deal with, extremely pleasant. He was willing to listen to my issues and concerns, and was never pushy about things I had concerns about, and actually remembered the things I told him. For example, my chronic pain is related to some nerve damage in my torso, for which one possible treatment are injections into the rib muscle. There are many concerns with this, namely lung puncture risk and the fact that you develop a tolerance to the medication each time until it no longer becomes effective. I found this to be a poor solution for long term chronic pain, but previous doctors always seemed to push this treatment on me regardless of my complaints. Dr. Wagner however understood my reservations and agreed with me, and whenever we would try something new, skip past it and comment the reasons we weren't going to try it. It made me feel respected and that he was invested in my care and priorities. The only reason I stopped seeing him is because the only thing that ended up working were stronger classes of painkillers that had undesirable side effects that I was no longer interested in making the trade-off for, and there wasn't much else to be done. I recommend anyone suffering from chronic pain to consider Dr. Wagner, as you will find in him a compassionate doctor who believes you, focuses on what will work for you, and is happy to try new things that you're comfortable with.

Sue Martin In 2017, after 4 botched back surgeries in four months, I was told after the last surgery that after two more years, I would be the best I could get. For over two years now I have been pretty much house bound, unable to do much of anything. The nerves have attacked my thighs, calves, sciatic area, etc. Enough said. My family physician referred me to Dr. Wagner. It is as if a miracle came about. After Dr. Wagner gave me the pain shots he recommended, I have had 2 months of feeling normal. Not falling, wobbling, hurting ...AMAZING !! I would recommend Dr. Wagner to anyone in need of pain relief. He listens to you, is very thorough and easy to talk to. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone in pain.
