Patient Testimonials

Appt was set pretty quickly. I arrived 30 mins prior as told to by them. Instead I waited 2 hrs and 30 mins in waiting room, to see dr for 10 mins tops an told my condition is minor. Totally disregarded by dr that my medications worked for me an cut me off all medications to be put on basically one medication, an put on a medication I can't take. Then basically rushed out cayse it was 5 pm. The staff was rude, the front desk gave dirty looks, an never a smile. Were on cellphones. Now one tech ms. A. Garcia was kind an understanding of me being a parents whose husband is deployed. An apologized for the wait. I asked my pcp to be sent somewhere else.

I made an appt for 12/18. I needed to reschedule it for 2025. Called a week before my appt and left a message to reached. No one got back to me. Just called today 12/17 to confirm that appt was cx and to resched. I got a foreign operator who said they were gonna transfer me to the right department, waited over 20 mins for a person to pick up only for them to tell me to pick option 1 and transferred me back into the queue WHILE I was still SPEAKING TO THEM. Needless to say I will not be calling a third time.

I had horrible experiences at the Fayetteville location. The front desk and nurses are rude, uncaring and disrespectful. The only person who I felt was caring was the Nurse Practioner or PA. (She was not a doctor. She was pregnant the last time I saw her but unfortunately I can't remember her name.) My last visit was in July 2024. They had just moved to a new location. I was put into a large room with a GURNEY, 1 chair and a tiny table for the doctor to put his computer on. He wanted to see my lower back so he lowered my pants while I stood in the middle of the room since there was no exam table for me to even lean on. It felt odd and uncomfortable. I was in excruciating pain. I asked for a shot of Toradol to calm the pain down. The doctor refused. (I am not on any controlled substances so I was not trying to get any "drugs". Toradol is not a controlled substance and works great for easing my pain temporarily.) The doctor checked me over and said "I'll be right back". I waited for a long time thinking he had a Eureka moment but he never came back! However, he did order an MRI. Since I knew I was NEVER stepping foot in that place again, I made sure my MRI results were sent to me and my Primary Care physician. Something showed up on the MRI that was unrelated to my spine. My PC called me the very next day and told me I had to go to another doctor to have the findings checked out immediately! Wake Spine and Pain never called me about the results. Thank God I had my results sent to my PC or I would not have had this concerning condition taken care of ASAP. Weeks or possibly months later, I did get an unintelligible voice message from Wake Spine and Pain about rescheduling a follow-up appointment. Since my last visit with this disrespectful, uncaring practice, I have found a NEW clinic where I am treated with dignity and respect. For years, I put up with the hatefulness at Wake Spine and Pain because I thought it was the only pain clinic in Fayetteville. Due to my work schedule I did not want to go to travel long distances. I just want people to know there is another option in the Fayetteville area!

I've been attending Wake Spine and Pain for a couple of years now and I have to say hands down I love the atmosphere, the staff members and especially my NP Tamesha Kamconteh. She is the best. Very empathetic, understanding, passionate and listens to her patients and gives the best service hands down. Thank You Mrs Kamconteh.
