“I recently experienced an unfortunate and intense illness that saw me hospitalized for around 3 months over 4 stays. I was fortunate enough to be treated at Vanderbilt hospital and thus was treated by this pain management team. I was astonished and grateful for their approach, experience and knowledge base. They were able to offer pain management medications that other physicians would likely not know existed and were fit for my condition. Additionally, they did not make me feel stigmatized - as I was on a fairly high dose of opiates. They were able to convert and step down my IV medications and transition to oral meds to facilitate my release and ability to manage my pain at home. After discharge from the hospital, I continued to seek care from this pain management group at their Clarksville office. More specifically I was treated by Dr. McDougal. I cannot fully express how wonderful the experience was. He made me feel comforted and that he sincerely cared for my condition and experience. I can honestly say that I have seldom ever experienced treatment that met the level that I received there.”
