What Patients Say
Patient Testimonials
“I have been going here for injections in my spine and back. The front staff are very efficient despite being very busy with the phones and patients needs. Everyone I have meet in the back office has done a great job explaining my procedures and providing assistance afterwards. I know I can be a handful but they make everything extremely easy. The office is up to date and comfortable and I have recommended this office and other UT doctors to family members.”

“I've dealt with so many providers over the last 8 years, in many states, after being injured as a Special Needs teacher. From remote appointments to procedures, all of the providers, nurses, and office staff at this clinic are so kind and caring. It's been a rare occurrence be treated with compassion since a student decided to slam me. Workers comp is difficult. Thank you for great care. I'm extremely appreciative. I only wish they could also do off work status so I wouldn't have to go to another clinic to get this. Thank you, all!!”

“Unbelievable! If you don't speak English and you bring a family member with you to your appointment to help with translation, be ready, at this clinic they humiliate and disrespect your family member and call it protocol. In my case, I accompanied my husband to his appointment at UT Health Science Pain Management Clinic, as I have don so to all his UT Health Science appointments for almost 10 years now. My husband at this clinic and all UT Health Science, had signed HIPAA and all documents authorizing me to receive, ask, and have updates on his health, specially because he doesn't speak English. Today, the nurse that called us to the back, whom also speaks spanish, was informed I would be my husbands translator as I have been in the past. I even translated to the first two (2) doctors that came in, and asked a whole bunch of treatment related questions. Then the two (2) doctors went to consult a so called "Doctor O", for a decision on treatment for my husband. The two (2) doctors came back with Dr O. (as she introduced herself) with disrespect, humiliation and verbally silenced me, with a so called protocol that has never been mentioned to us or even used in the past. Now, all of a sudden, their excuse is that the protocol is effective depending on the doctor providing the consult/ treatment/ medical analysis. I was in a state of shock, on how the Dr O, was speaking down to us, and repeating she didn't want to silence me, but of course protocol. She even said that if my husband did not want to use their translator the appointment had to be cancelled, cause she was not going to spend more time talking about the situation. I then asked for a copy of the so called protocol, and suddenly, they couldn't give me a copy. To receive a copy of the protocol, it all had to be done with the manager / supervisor whom of course, was in a meeting. My, husband was so upset, that in his broken down English said "Spanish may be one language but, it is a language with many different dialects, she is my wife not a stranger and she is my translator." The we proceeded to walk out of the office. On top of all that, my husband paid a deductible, or should I say, the unsolicited disrespect and humiliation caused my husband $30 plus whatever they charge the health insurance. Once I got home I received a call from the manager who was very nice spoken. She indicated she had found something related to the mentioned protocol but, before she could provide a copy she had to consult the lawyers.”
