Patient Testimonials

The Doctor or PA doing intake exam was awesome and listened to my issues, trying to offer aid and explanation. Nurses awesome. Treating Doctor was not assigned Doctor, no reason given, made no eye contact, visibly irritated by something unknown, gave me 10 min of his time while acting like I was inconveniancing him. Told me about a med and a dosage and asked me to get my out of Network Doctor on that as he would not prescribe or write down med name or dosage instructions. Complete waste of my time and limited funds. Still in pain, no aid coming.

Everyone is so incredibly nice! I fainted from my trigger point injections (not because of the pain, but my body couldn't tell the difference between injections and being mauled by a tiger) they stopped, got me ice water and left it up to me if I wanted to keep trying or stop. I thought I could grit my teeth and force myself to not faint if we tried again. Again, I felt presyncope, and we decided to stop for the day. When I came back to talk about how well the worked for me (amazingly!) We also talked about what we can do for next time to help prevent presyncope again. I have always felt very safe and heard from everyone. Its really nice to have a provider who listens to what I have to say and takes that into consideration. I couldn't be happier here.

(The secretaries & the other staff are great) I'm not sure about the other doctors, but if you're starting as a new patient I do NOT recommend Dr. Philip. Extreme lack of empathy, and will diagnose you with chronic pain, but have no intentions to find out why. Better to cover and mask the pain than find out if something else might be going on? When I told her I couldn't afford $600 numerous times a year for TPT, she told me to tell my PCP to up my gabapentin and sent me on my way, while sobbing. I usually don't leave reviews like this, or call out doctors, but I have never left an appointment as rejected and upset before. Her behavior was so wild, I was truly taken aback. *EDIT 03/06/2025 - Truly a disappointment. I can't even get a referral through them (which they ABSOLUTELY can do), they have just fully sent me away. Terrible place, with terrible doctors. No amount of care was provided to me, and even after all of this, they can't even write a single referral for me to get out of there and go somewhere else. I have NEVER been so degraded at a doctor's office. It's very strange to have doctors dig their heels in so hard for people that are just in pain. If you're considering trying this place out, make sure it's your absolute last resort. There's a good chance nothing will be done for you, and you'll get treated like dirt.

The office is nice and the staff is generally kind but the way this office works is just terrible for patients. I left and found a different clinic over an hour away. This office feels like there used to be multiple actual doctors and they all left, and now there is only ONE Dr who has the workload of 2-4 doctors. I feel bad for him. The one Dr will come in to introduce himself to you and you to a student who will be the person that you discuss everything with, it is rarely the same person, and then leave you with that student. This means you have to explain your medical/pain history from the start at every appointment, even though they can see previous notes they still have to get to know you. You also never get a full appointment with the dr for the to learn your history. For someone with a complex lifelong chronic illness that takes a lot of time and means the main Dr had no chance of understanding all the different types of pain I experience without reading all of the notes. I had a few appointments and the main Dr never fully understood my condition and even gave incorrect information about my condition while introducing me to students. The students were generally intelligent and caring, after listening to your story they tell you their recommendations, get your opinion and then leave to discuss with the main Dr. The vibe is they give you their honest, full opinion of what your best options are and then worry the main Dr may not agree, which would leave the patient feeling mistreated. The main Dr then comes back with the student after they discuss and makes the "final call". "You couldn't possibly have tried it and know it's bad in such short time" Is what he said when he came into my second appointment, a week after having me try a drug from a class I warned gave me terrible side effects. Yes it is possible to know that you cannot tolerate a medication after experiencing extreme side effects from the first day or few of trying it. I've had thousands of dr appointments and never felt so disrespected and unheard, and as someone with a mostly invisible disability the numbers are extra up there. My experience here was terrible and I'll never go back, I am leaving this entire medical system after trying it for a few years because it is clear the patients are NOT being put first.
