Patient Testimonials

If you want no say in your treatment or like being literally YELLED at for changing your mind, then Dr. MALLARD is your man. I thought at one point he was going to resort to violence. The entire office could hear the yelling, all because I changed my mind about getting a pain injection in my neck. Obviously, he is in this for the money and not the patients. Never again. We deserve better.

Stay away from UK in general if you can. This place is horrible and unorganized, I only go because I have too, your pain is ignored, and they just try everything but what actually will help you. Save yourself the misery, the doctors are incompetent and that's at best.

My daughter was referred here due to her pediatric pain management doctor leaving UK and her being eighteen now. The rude intake lady said they won't accept her as a patient because her referral indicated that she needs medication management and they don't do that. In fact there is no pain management doctor that does medication management at UK, so she will have to find an outside provider (even though all of her medical care is at UK). I asked if they could at least continue the stellate ganglion blocks that she has been getting and was told the doctors there don't do those. I asked what the doctors there do to help people with pain. She said they help people with injections for musculoskeletal pain such as back, neck, and knee pain. I said that's exactly what my daughter has been suffering from for the last year after having covid. She just rudely reiterated that they won't be taking my daughter as a patient. I felt like she took pleasure in denying my daughter care. My daughter is very medically complex and sees many different specialists, all at UK. This is the first time I have been treated rudely and my daughter denied care. I will be making a formal complaint to UK.

I have had several injections in my shoulder, lower back and neck. Dr. Christopher Mallard is very professional and I trust him. Yes, they do train future doctors but that should be expected at University of Kentucky. No, the shots don't last forever but for 2-3 months I am pain free. It's better than going under the knife for me.
