“I was experiencing horrible pain when I went here. I was misdiagnosed by doctors at St. Francis forcing me to rely on the pain clinic to function like a normal adult. I decided to try CBD (which was a legal grey area in Kansas at the time). I did this because I wasn't fond of having to take so many prescription pain killers. My doctor noticed a difference because it cut my pain pill usage in half. "That's great! Keep doing what you're doing." She didn't know I was using CBD. Unfortunately the CBD product I was using made me come up positive for marijuana on a drug test. They claimed there was a way to tell the difference and the nurse said I was definitely using marijuana. (Years later, medical research has shown that some cbd products can make you pop positive on a drug test.) The nurse went from being very nice to treating me like I was a disgusting drug addict. I was denied my medication and left to deal with debilitating pain on my own. I lost my job because I was in so much pain. I moved to another state and found a fantastic doctor that figured out what was actually causing my severe pain. I am now pain free. If you're reading this- avoid St. Francis and get out of Topeka. I won't ever get the years that were taken from me back.”
