During your appointment you have his full attention and he makes sure to ask about everything, even things that you did not think could be related to your problem, and is therefore able to make linkages and diagnoses that other doctors miss. I had severe pain in my hips and back that my GP could not fix (and did not seem particularly interested in fixing because he did not seem to think it was real).
