“No one is perfect so I try to give grace on the first couple of bad experiences. Today is the third time I have had a terrible experience with this office and this Doctor. I have been in treatment with another Dr. for some time, his bedside manners and options were not good so I asked around, someone recommended this Dr. I should have read the reviews and its partially my fault, had i read them, I would not be here today. Here is the skinny version: This place is unorganized, they will make you wait forever, every single time, my initial appointment was close to two hours, I was starving by the time it was done as it was scheduled at noon and they asked that I not eat anything before the appointment. They ask you the same questions every single time, and they have not moved along in the world with technology, every form is paper. They have perfected ways of squeezing money out of me, and my insurance provider. I assume I am not an isolated incident and this happens to others. The reviews I have read have the same tone, these guys are slow, non-responsive, will make you wait until you want to scream and you need medication just to sit through the call. They will ask you for a co-pay which means they are charging insurance for every call, yes, even to call in to fill in your next months medication. They will schedule an appointment at least 30 days in advance, they will send you reminders so you don't forget and they collect their coin. Ultimately, someone will call you, collect your co-pay, ask you the same silly questions over and over like "what is your goal in terms of payment level from a 0 to a 10"???? ...... The doctor will never show up on time, I am writing this review as I am waiting for my appointment that was scheduled over two hours ago. Yes, and for sure!! they did call me to collect their co-pay before my scheduled time, but the main call with the Doctor???.. I am still on hold, 25 minutes now and counting. Again if this was an isolated issue, then that would be fine, they did this exact same thing to me last month, I waited over 50 minutes on the phone that time. When the Dr. Finally got on the call, she apologized, told me her team is expected to get on the phone if the call will take longer than a few minutes and that she will call later. I did share with her that it is frustrating to have an appointment to refill medication, pay a fee, and then have to wait for close to an hour. I shared that it made me feel like my time is not important to her or her staff. She assured me it would not happen again, 28 minutes and counting now. This is a joke!! My last office, although the Dr. had terrible bedside manners, at least would fill my prescription three months in advance, all I had to do was call the pharmacy every month. That other office would not squeeze me or my insurance company every month, and most importantly I would not have to be around waiting for her to make our appointment that was scheduled over two hours ago. What a lack of respect for peoples time, patience and condition. I am moving Dr.s. Please do your research so you are not frustrated and in my shoes. Dealing with pain is bad enough, we should not have to deal with this type of treatment from someone who is supposed to care for us. quick update, finally 2.5 hours after my scheduled call, and after waiting over 30 minutes for to jump on. She apologized again, said she wrote a note on my chart last time and now she will have to speak to her office staff!! LOL!!!! This place is extremely unprofessional!! do your research, it will be well worth your time!”

“Hi, my name is Frank although you don't know me I'd like to share my Personal experience with. Dr. Sandra Thompson. I've been seeing her now for roughly 7 years. I'm a veteran here in Boise Idaho. Many things that the VA cannot do for treatment of pain. Dr. Thompson has many different avenues to treat and deal and care for pain, in a scale of one to 10 I would highly rate nine out of ten.”

“I really admire the staff at the pain center. I have been a patient for several years now. If it wasn't for Dr. Thompson and her staff I would have been in life ending pain. I'm still having pain but it's more manageable than before when I didn't have a pain pump. They have truly helped me survive and manage my pain goals.”

“My wife and I are new to the area. Dr Thompson was suggested by Medtronic as someone who could manage her pain pump. My wife called Dr. Thompson's office and was told by Deanna that she would have to have a referral from her doctor in California. She called and arranged for them to fax the referral. Dr Thompson's office could not find the fax and had my wife have the other doctor's office repeat the process on three separate occasions. When my wife called yet again to make an appointment, she was told that they are no longer accepting new patients with implanted pain pumps. My wife had made it clear from day one that she had an implanted pain pump and yet Deanna failed to tell her from the beginning, that they were not accepting new patients with existing pain pumps. This whole process has taken weeks to find out that she is being rejected by Dr Thompson. To be blunt, I feel that Dr. Thompson does not care about the inconvenience and hardship she and her office have put my wife through. She is still searching for a doctor that can help her manage her pain. The only reason for giving her one star is there is no way to make it zero!”
