Patient Testimonials

I had to see Dr Cristina Bartis for a back injury. Let's start at the first appointment with her....her bedside manner is TERRIBLE!!! She basically said I lifted the package incorrectly and that I need to lose some weight to help with my back pain. I should have left right then and there but I didn't I stayed because with workers comp it takes so long for anything to get approved so I decided to still because my back hurts so bad. I was prescribed a medication that would help with my back pain. After taking the medication for 2 days I notice I was itching really bad. I looked up the side effects and itching was one of the side effects. The doctor never told me this was a side effect. The itching was TERRIBLE!! I stop taking the medication and called the office. The lady I spoke to said she would tell the doctor and for me to stop taking the medication. She also said the doctor will give me a call. This was on Monday. I finally called back on Wednesday because my back was killing me. The lady I spoke to said for me to just take Tylenol and wait for my appointment to get a steroid shot on November 11th (today is October 29). If Tylenol worked I wouldn't have called back asking for something else. I'm literally take 4-6 Tylenols a day and I still have back pain and to be told to wait another 2 weeks and still be in pain is unacceptable! It's just really disappointing that my concerns were not taking seriously. As I type this my back is hurting but I'm expected to just hold off and take the pain.

I'm finally getting relief with injections. I'm glad I finally found a physician who doesn't just write prescriptions and actually cares. The staff is great too. The nurse in the back is great and always gets my IV started with no problems even though I have difficult veins. Tiffany at the front is so very sweet and efficient. At the last office visit she had a difficult beyond belief patient. Despite her best efforts to be polite and offer a solution and work with her the patient was yelling and disrespectful. She handled it very well and professionally and kept calm which would have been difficult for most people considering the patient came back in three times to resume her yelling.

I spoke with Jai a few weeks ago and she was so kind, understanding, and amazing very polite. She helped my wife get scheduled with Dr. Bartis who is great as well.

Dr. Cristina B. Bartis MD is and one of her staff (Glenda) have some of the worst bedside manners of any professional medical staff. (I receive injections in both knees, have RA in multiple joints, have had multiple surgeries including a curvical fusion 4 months ago and will be having a lumbar fusion in the very near future) She is very dismissive and will literally try to gaslight me into thinking that my pain is only in my head as if I'm faking for an agenda. Glenda even told me that she did not believe that my pain was a 10. and that I needed to stretch and change my posture. On many occasions I pleaded for something stronger because my meds were no longer giving much relief, and she literally shrugs her shoulders as if my concerns and pain do not matter. Dr. Bartis is causing me much stress and anxiety by allowing me to suffer and to lose interest in day to day activities. I can not with a good heart say anything positive about this inconsiderate incompetent person.
