Patient Testimonials

My husband and I are are SO grateful that we have Dr Gray. He is an excellent practitioner and his staff is top notch. My husband had severe back pain and was referred to a very large orthopedic office in Portland,ME. The Dr advised walking with poles and he should be better in 6mo. I was not happy with that advice. He already had severe back pain for the past 2months and already did plenty of conservative therapy. We went to see Dr Gray who ordered a full CT scan of the back. My husband had a major problem. Dr Gray referred him to an interventional radiologist.Surgery was advised and was done.My husband no longer has back pain.Dr Gray-you are one in a million! We knew we were in excellent hands!Thank you so much!

Before Dr Terrence Gray treated my husband, he requested more tests and then after seeing what was causing my husband's pain, he recommended an ablation (rhizotomy). He explained there are National Standards that he follows for this procedure. In our initial visit, he included what would be the expected steps for the pretests and final procedure and even handed us a printed sheet for us to read later. I had taken in so much info, rereading the page that reiterated what he had communicated with us, was helpful. His knowledge and experience came through during our visit. Despite an unexpected hospitalization, unrelated to Dr. Gray's care, the staff treated our cancellation and rescheduling with the utmost respect. Each time we visited, there was a caring response and clear information to whatever was happening. I suspect dealing all day long with people who are in pain (and sometimes lose their patience), the staff and admin people are cheerful, professional and caring...very commendable traits. I would highly recommend Dr Terrence Gray for those people who are experiencing pain.

Google would not remove misleading bad reviews so I thought I would elaborate. 1. If a new patient to us comes to Maine for 3 months and expects to have a chronic condition assessed, diagnosed, treated and resolved before they return south this is unrealistic. Many offices in Maine have 3,4,6,8 month waits. Staff illnesses, our own vacations (we need them too) and other patient's needs sometimes limit our access. We do our best to get people in quickly but our solid reputation and attention to patients has fortunately made us busy. We have hired another provider to assist with this and wait times have decreased. 2. If a patient asks why there are no longer treatment centers focusing on a particular condition I feel obliged to honestly answer. Just because they don't like the facts that the other centers that focused on this particular condition closed these clinics due to hospitals losing money on this condition on should not be cause for a poor review on us. If you don't like the answer don't ask the question. We have to focus on where we can help patients and remain in business. If we focused on areas that lose money (as a small private practice) we would be out of business and patients we can and do help would not be treated. 3. If a patient requests/demands a procedure they had previously with us (years ago) for a different set of symptoms or before national guidelines had changed it may not be currently appropriate to perform. The fact that another group does not follow the current national guidelines does not mean we should not follow national guidelines as well. We will always try to do the right thing for our patients. For all of our patients and potential patients we are honest and try to do our best. It would be nice if some patients would realize that and speak, ask questions to us/me directly before being nasty behind a computer screen and a keyboard. Thank you to all of our amazing patients who appreciate we gave them their life back!

Caring, effective, innovative, and thorough. Dr. Gray is well worth the wait. I received innovative state of the art shockwave ablation therapy for crippling plantar fasciitis and was blown away with my results. The team is very well equipped and incredibly knowledgeable. I had no pain just a few weeks after treatment and previously had trouble walking on my bad foot.
