“At the start, I loved the office and Dr Luu. He was great. He understood my condition and wanted to help. I went through with a cervical epidural injection. The relief lasted a week. Then I was starting to be back to the level 7 to 9 pain. I had a hospital visit the 5th and they got everything under control. For some reason, my next appointment was with Sheila. Not sure why and I wish I would have known this. Sheila is nice but does not listen or look at all the information. The difference in what Dr Luu told us and what Sheila said were complete opposites. Most of what she said was the complete opposite of Dr Luu. She told me to not take as many for one prescription and up the other. But then on friday when we called they told my husband that i "misunderstood" her. No I didnt. She told me the medication can cause edema and to take less. I was supposed to take 3 a day. So i started taking 1 to 2. i had to wait 3 days for them to send in my meloxicam. Her comparing herself being 51 and having the issues and me being 31 and having the same issues is nothing to compare. She should understand and be sympathetic. Said I am too young for pain medications. I hadn't even mentioned pain medications. Why are we looking at my age and not what is going on? What does me being 31 have to do with medications? She said it's all about how you handle pain and pain tolerance. I have been "tolerating" this pain for MONTHS. Most people are surprised I haven't gone crazy because of the pain and how it has affected my life. We contacted them about advice on what to do, multiple times..When we told them about my hand locking up and everything. They told us go to the hospital. I thought this office was supposed to be pain management? To where I could stop using the er. Seems like they're just pushing me off on the er and other specialists. When my husband asked what to do if my hand locked up again or if things keep progressing, they said to go to the er. No concern on their end for what is going on. It also took my husband calling for us to get answers. She asked if I had ever tried Cymbalta. If she would have read my chart, she would have seen I'm on it on it. I have now been admitted to the er. I was admitted last night on the 12th. My hand continues to lock up, I have blurry vision that comes and goes, among many other things. The fact that I wasn't taken seriously this week is unacceptable. I will not be continuing care with this office. It's very unfortunate because we loved Dr Luu. But between this and the lack of communication from office staff, I'm not willing to mess with it. I've been jerked around by doctors for years. I need someone who is going to take me seriously, listen, and not look at me as a young 31 year old. I need someone to look at the symptoms I am presenting and very worried about. I need doctors like the ones here at the hospital. I feel like this could have all been avoided if I would have been taken seriously. Edit: July 14, 2025. Called ROC Express to confirm Sheila sent over a referral. She did not. So on top of having to call about the Meloxicam that wasn't sent it. A very important referral wasn't sent. This is unacceptable and outrageous. We will absolutely be fighting the bill for the visit with her.”

“I recommend this office if you're needing pain management. Melissa F. Is so so nice, she even knows my puppy by name. She is always nice and is very nice to talk to. She rocks, and I roll in my wheelchair. Hahaha. Then there's Ms. Sheila, she is so amazing and very nice as well. She cares about her clients and it shows in her service.
