“The process for payments and billing is the worst I've ever dealt with. I'm constantly on hold then it takes over an hour to get anything done just to call them again and have to do the process AGAIN. it's so frustrating. You need a new process and obviously people that know how to do their job.”

“Do not seek care at this facility for the following reasons: 1. Excessive Costs with Inadequate Billing Support: The billing process is unclear and lacks proper support, leading to unexpected costs without adequate explanations. 2. Poor Communication: There is a significant lack of communication between patients and doctors, which impacts the quality of care received. 3. Lack of Compassion and Professionalism: The interactions with the doctor were marked by a lack of empathy and professional bedside manner. Overall, he was rude. 4. Delayed Access to Urgent Services: An emergency surgery was going to be delayed for four days due to the hospital forgetting about us. This delay is unacceptable for urgent medical needs. The only option provided was to go to the ER, which substantially increased the costs. Given these experiences, my family and I will seek care at ERMAC or Jackson in the future. I have lost all confidence in the care provided here, particularly in the OBGYN department.”

“We were camping in Star Valley when my little 5 year old hit his mouth on a chair and split his gums wide open... We took him to the ER and I was very impressed by everyone from the ER clerk who checked us in, the CNA/ER Tech (Sheridan), both nurses (Scott and another nurse I didn't catch her name!) to the ER Doctor (Dr. Brown) and the ENT doctor (Dr. Affleck). Everyone was so kind and patient with my kiddo. Being a nurse myself, I was so grateful for the top notch care we received! Being in an area where you're not familiar with the providers and the stigma placed on critical access hospitals can be stressful, especially with an injury like his! I was very thankful and grateful for everyone that got him put back together!”
