“If I could give zero stars I would. I saw David Klarberg for one appointment and it was one of the worst experiences I've had with any provider in years. He barely let me talk, asked almost no questions, and seemed to have his mind made up on what treatment I needed before we even met - despite me having new imaging showing a major joint issue in an area nearby but different from the area he wanted to treat. The whole experience left me feeling like they just hand out bandaid cortisone injections all day without actually trying to understand the cause of the symptoms. He definitely didn't give me confidence to allow this practice to treat me.”

“Earlier this week I left a review of one particular section/person at Portland Pain Care. I had rated that as a 1. I want to leave this review for all other parts/persons at Portland Pain Care. They are fantastic thus the 5 star review. Dr Stapleton is so very dedicated to his patients and his work. He is always so thorough with each patient. Before any procedure, he personally comes out to make sure we understand what he will be doing and the location. The care by the nurses both before and after the procedures is also so amazing. They do all they can to make your visit comfortable and they are always in such good moods which is soothing as a patient. Empathy and compassion are so evident in Dr Stapleton, his nurses and all personal at the surgery center. He must be a great interviewer because in my opinion, he has highly qualified and exceptionally enthusiastic, compassionate personnel working there. I feel so lucky that I am a patient at Portland Pain because it is so obvious they care about my well being. They listen attentively and are so good at helping me hear. I am very very hearing impaired and I never even have to ask them to slow down or speak loudly anymore. They know my needs and they address them so well. I imagine they know what every patient needs because they are truly good listeners and they want to help. I never feel hurried to quickly exit so another patient can come in. They want me to feel very sure that I am able and ready to walk out. They even walk me to the door. If you are in need of an excellent pain care facility, look no further. Portland Pain Care is the best in my opinion, and I have been to many others so I know good pain care!”

“Staff at his Johnson Creek office are absolutely wonderful. NP Barb and Nurse Angela always welcome you with smile. They both have very warm personalities and patiently answer all questions. At the East Portland Surgical Center, the staff is equally warm and welcoming. I've had several different nurses and they are all very friendly. Dr. Stapleton has great bedside manners and makes his rounds to talk to all his patients before their procedures. He makes sure you understand your procedure and answers all questions. He and his staff have worked very closely with my neurosurgeon, to find the best ways to manage my pain levels. His staff schedules appointments in a very timely manner, realizing that alleviating someone's pain is important. They also return calls in a timely manner. I would recommend Dr. Stapleton to anyone considering pain management.”
