Patient Testimonials

Today was my first appointment with Dr. Vattam. Im in a wheelchair after a failed fusion and am disabled due to chronic pain and failed fusion. After giving him my brief surgical history, he asked "Who sent you to me? Why am I getting this? Why aren't you with the doctors that did this?" Then, when I explained why I was changing doctors he immediately responded, "I can't help you. You need to find a different doctor." I told him his office told me that he did medication management and I asked if he could at least do that "No, the state regulations make it too hard. I can't help you." He literally manages pain meds for other patients, but because I am a woman in a wheelchair with a challenging case, it was too much for him. He's a coward that wasn't even willing to try and help me. I had verified before my 1.5 hour drive to his office that he would do medication management for my meds "yes, we do it all the time" they said. Well, apparently not today. He was rude, dismissive, and had no desire to help, which is literally what he's supposed to do. The nurse even looked shocked at his completely belittling and thoughtless behavior. He has no business being a pain management doctor if he isnt willing to help patients dealing with serious chronic pain. 0/10 recommend

I have always had the best treatment from Dr. Vattam. He is the most caring doctor that I've ever found Dr Vattam and I could tell immediately in his eyes that he cared, and he really cared and then I went in for a Pain Pump and it was the best thing that ever happened to me. I had very little pain for 3 1/2 years and then I have a mass over the catheter so I wasn't getting any medication at all at that Point there was nothing else that could be done. Period. On top of all of this happening to me, I lost my daughter she passed away and then the Pain Pump quit working and I had to have surgery The past year has been horrible for me and today I received a phone call from the office manager at Dr Vattam Sherman office. If you've ever felt like a little kid and an adult griping at you fussing at you being just a terrible person toward you even if they try to put a couple of good words It's not the same. I felt like a little peon being just torn apart.. And I feel like if the physician assistant didn't want me to have the card, she wouldn't have given it to me and told me to call her night or day. I'll be going to see her next week and my husband will be going in with me and I would love for Dr Vattam to be there also so I'm going to ask him to be there. I am dealing with some of the worst pain of my life. Plus I'm going to Groeg counseling for losing my daughter.. So the rating above is not for Dr Vattam because he is a wonderful doctor and if you need a wonderful doctor, he is the one for you

I have been going to North Texas Spine and Pain for about 9 months and have had a great experience, so far. I have never waited more than 15 min. before getting called in to see the Dr. The , no more than 15 min. to see the Dr. Dr. Vattam listened carefully to my back issues, then helped me set up a plan to relieve the pain. I had debilitating sciatica, but have been pain free of that since my 1st shot July 2021 (8 months). The office staff is very personable and have always been willing to schedule my appointments around my work schedule. The ONLY negative is that I have found it very difficult to get in touch with a person at their billing company. But, when I called the office about the issue they helped with my billing questions right away.

I've been going to Dr Vattam for almost 9 yrs, back when he was on Lamberth. I'd never trust anyone else with my chronic pain. PERIOD I've had 2 neck and 2 back surgeries. Most of my spine is fused. I'm n pain daily but Dr Vattam's always trying new ways to help me. Either by injections, test or new stuff that comes out. Him and his staff always treated me and others with much respect. I NEVER want to lose Dr Vattam as my Dr. I trust him with my life!! He's honest and will let u know if he thinks something will work or not and if u need to try something different. He's very compassionate, takes the time to listen to his patients and thoroughly go through ur options. Wish all Dr's were like Dr Vattam
