“I had a horrible experience and most certainly won't be back. First, my appointment was at 7:30am but everyone was in a staff meeting until 8am, so I waited for a half hour to be seen. I had to explain my injury to three different people: the check-in nurse, the student, then the doctor. All separately. Across those three people, I was asked straight away if I'd like to be prescribed pain medicine four times (two times by the doctor). Then at checkout, they said I owed around $800. I told the checkout person I had already hit my annual out of pocket with my insurance and I shouldn't owe anything. She insisted I did, I verified with my insurance and offered to show her my policy but she declined to look. Then she said that she "refreshed" her page and verified I was correct. As if I'd hit my out of pocket max somehow seconds earlier (it was actually months earlier). I was already sketched out when the insurance coordinator called a few weeks later, the day before the surgery and said that I would owe around $800 for the surgery! I went through the whole out of pocket max thing again, and asked her to call my insurance to verify. She said "we don't do that". I told her to cancel the surgery and all future appointments!”
