She and her husband, Dr. Joe Carew, both received their Doctor of Chiropractic degrees at the same school, where he was valedictorian. They moved to South Carolina to start a chiropractic practice. They have owned and managed 11 clinics in this state and received a variety of awards, both on the state level and nationally.
