Patient Testimonials

Dr. Cunningham is wonderful. He is so knowledgeable. He explains things well and is easy to understand. He takes his time to answer all my questions. The staff is great. They are so caring and treats their patients well. You don't feel like just a number at this pain clinic. I highly recommend them to anyone I know that needs this kind of care.

Due to some unfortunate heath issues and injuries I have been a patient for 10 years I think. The staff at the Valdese clinic are amazing and caring. It's a little thing but they always remember something from my prior visit, personal not medical and ask about it. They make me a PERSON not a patient. I have seen both Dr Evans and Dr Cunningham. Dr Evans is the kind of doctor who will stand up for his patient and their needs up and to the point of threatening to end a partnership with a third party provider if I did not receive the level of care he expected. Then there is Dr Cunningham. He listens. Please understand I mean more than nodding and hearing the words. He hears what you don't say too and has a gift to see the whole picture. He is not a Dr who accepts the concept of 'it's the best we can do' or 'those are the only options '. He will search and research and not give up on you as long as you don't give up on him. Once I was told that unfortunately all the pain clinic had were bandaids. Well their 'bandaids' have given me my quality of life back more than once, and they are working to do it again. That's more than many other Dr's have done, combined. If you are in search of a simple source of narcotic pain meds, go somewhere else where the Dr's don't care. If you want your life back from pain, solutions that may include some medication but with a more permanent solution as the hopeful end goal, go to Southeast Pain Care in Valdese. You will not regret it.

I love Dr. Cunningham; he is the best doctor ever. He specializes in pain management, and that is what he assisted me with. He has helped me so much. I would never have trusted a doctor with my procedures except him. He listens to me every time and makes sure I am comfortable before having them done. I do not really remember much during the procedures because of the medication he gives me for my nerves. People say back shots and knee shots hurt, but they do not with Dr. Cunningham; he is the best. He not only is an amazing Dr but he really cares about his patients and listen to you where most others do not. His team is also amazing and I love them all. I had blood clots in my leg and my whole leg was solid red and It was absolutely killing me. I had went to my regular doctor and a vain dr both said just let it desolve on its own there is nothing we can give you for it now but when Dr Cunningham saw how red my leg was and swollen he said oh my Vivian have they gave you any antibiotics because that's infection I said no and he prescribed me the medication and by the next day my leg felt much better. That is why I love Dr Cunningham he is the best

He has saved my Life and since my July surgery of the Spinal Stimulator I have been able to have a major improvement and not be bed bound anymore. He's the best in the game . And has a Big heart considering that soon I will be able to walk without any assistance.
