“Dr. Shukla did an excellent job in my neck-pain injection procedure. Before we went back into surgery, he explained in detail what our two choices of approach were and decided which would be most beneficial. Because I was awake, he also warned me when something might hurt. When I had a complication of blood pressure dropping during procedure, whole team was quick to respond and attentive with care back in the exam room. I would go to him again if I needed more pain-relief injections. My main concern was that I had no information before going to the procedure, about what was involved: that it was more than a "shot", that I'd get an I.V., that you might want full sedation, that you might want to bring someone with you. It seems people are usually sent this information, but I did not. Those would have been factors in whether I'd get something done, especially if you can't be sure it will work.”
