“I suffered in excruciating pain in both legs to the point I could hardly walk and I was trying to function on a couple hours of sleep a night. Doc sent me for an X-ray and then an MRI. He scheduled me for an epidural about a week ago. It was one of the best experiences of my life. He said there would be a pinch with the first needle, I never felt it. He said I would then feel a burning sensation, and that never occurred. When he started the actual procedure he said I was going to feel pressure and when he injected the actual medicine he said the pressure would increase. None of that happened. The second he finished I knew my problem was fixed. Zero pain zero discomfort. An absolute fantastic experience. It's been nearly a week, I can walk, sleep, drive, and work every day pain free! Dr. Donatelli is an excellent physician and I can't thank him enough for how he helped me. Thank God we professionals like this in our community.”

“My experience with Dr. Shawn Donatelli was not a good one. I found him to be arrogant, rude and very condescending. I had only one visit with him and that was enough. I tried to describe my symptoms twice during this visit and he cut me off each time with an arrogant and negative remark. He never heard what I had to say. He stood in the corner of the exam room with his arms crossed and never examined me. I was shocked at his demeanor. Is there something wrong with this man? No listening skills, no kindness, and no respectfulness. Overall, he is a terrible human being, much less a pain management physician. There are wonderful doctors in this area, but he is not one of them.”

“9 months ago I had a dental extraction and it became very infected. Then after dental surgery developed widespread joint pain the worst being my hands and jaw. He came in and told me I had "bad timing" and then laughed and said "and your an addict what do you expect me to do" I was honest about my history, I have been clean for 9 years, am a substance use counselor and on track to graduate with my masters in mental health counseling in May. This doctor completely dismissed me. The NIH guidelines for treating someone like me are not just don't treat the pain...there are many ways and even ways to successfully use opiate medications! I have worked hard in my life to break the stigma of addiction however this doctor all he saw was an addict. I left in pain and cried in my car.”
