What Patients Say
Patient Testimonials
“This office is a perfect example of how not to run a pain management practice. Every single time I need a prescription, it turns into a drawn-out, stressful process full of delays and excuses. Prescriptions are routinely sent to pharmacies without anyone checking if the medication is in stock -- which causes unnecessary suffering for patients who are already in pain. To make matters worse, when medications aren't in stock, the staff routinely tell me to "call the pharmacy and find out." That is absolutely inappropriate and unsafe -- especially for controlled substances, where pharmacies cannot legally disclose or discuss inventory details for security reasons. It is the prescribing office's job to ensure medications are available before sending prescriptions, not the patient's. I'm young and able to advocate for myself, and I've filed formal complaints because I refuse to keep being brushed off. But what truly angers me is thinking about the many elderly patients in their care who might not have the same ability to navigate this chaos. Those patients deserve real compassion and proactive care, not to be left waiting in pain because the office is too disorganized to do its job properly. Dr. Stoneking himself is fine, but his team is consistently unresponsive and unprofessional. Calls go unanswered, messages are ignored, and the general attitude toward patients is indifferent at best. For a clinic that claims to manage pain, they seem to have forgotten what the "care" in healthcare actually means.”

“I have been a patient with Dr. Stoneking for more than 12 years, or so. He has handled all my pain needs. I trust him to do any medical procedure on my body. And when we have exhausted all pain management avenues, he WILL refer me to another doctor. In most cases, that is usually when surgery is required. His bedside manner is exceptional. He treats me like I am a human being. Not just a piece of meat to be cut on, like I have had doctors do in my past. I really appreciate doctor Stoneking. And if you are looking for an intelligent doctor who really does care, see Dr. Stoneking. You can not loose anything by just going to see him. He will do his upmost best to take care of you so you can heal. If he can not seem to provide your needs, he will guide you to someone who can. He is not a bad doctor. And seeing the reviews of him disturbs me. I do not think it is fair to many persons, doctor or not, to focus on just the bad. Let's focus on both.”

“I don't know if there's enough space, I hope. I have degenerative disc disease as well as multiple sclerosis. My neurologist, sent me to "Dr. Too Young". He suggested epidural steroids. I was reluctant at first, due to the fact that I had them many years ago and they really hadn't helped much anyway. The nurse, said, "since it's been a while, it shouldn't be a problem as far as them working. Again reluctantly, I agreed to go in. They called me back to one room, then I sat for about 5 mins, maybe 10, was moved to another room with a bed. I laid on my stomach and there were 3 nurses in the room. Why? I don't know you tell me, your guess is good as mine. You Would havethought it was open heart surgery or something. Regardless, I laid down his ultrasound to view my spine and gave me a numbing agent. Then, when I can only assume a tubing was inserted in my Spine for the medication to go in I could actually Move my sciatic nerve on my right side And I let him know that he hurt me and he said that that That happens to some people The first day after, I thought things were going fine, but then day two came And my back went from bad something I've never known In my life. On a scale of one to 10 it had to be a 15. Basically, it's off The Richter scale There is no 15. When I called them to let them know, I was in so much Normal after you get the injections How can that be normal when you get the injections to Relieve you of the pain.? With each day, they just got worse and Do I wanna go back to Stone King Look at my back and fix this problem that he Created? Hell, no! I'm at a loss now. I'm in so much pain. I need to see somebody. But I don't know Where to go or what to do. You think I'm gonna trust that man to do Anything to my back again. I can barely walk now because the pain is so excruciating. But thanks for those epidural steroids I give you is zero unproduced. And a zero on effectiveness Pain doctor you do hell of a job of relieving no pain at all, And you at the same time causing more.”

“Cannot comment on Dr. Stoneking's abilities as I have not received a response back from the office staff in 2 weeks. I received a referral from my primary care doctor and orthopedic specialist after receiving a diagnosis of degenerative disc disease, bulging discs, and sciatic nerve damage upon reviewing recent MRIs. I called to confirm Dr. Stoneking is accepting new patients. The receptionist indicated she would need to "review" my chart and would get back to me at a later time. Alright. I received a phone from Dr. Stoneking's office whilst attending my son's Endocrinology appointment. I received a voicemail and called back at my earliest convenience AFTER my son's appointment. It's been more than 2 weeks and I have not received a call back. I made two calls to the office regarding the voicemail. I have since moved on to a different pain management specialist who responded in a fraction of the time and was able to get me on his schedule in a timely manner. This appears to be a problem across SSM. The lack of professionalism from office staff is detrimental to health and wellness clinic.”
