Patient Testimonials
“After 10 years of going there for lower back pain, getting the same advice,,, go to PT, surgery is your best option, they're more concerned with collecting your co pay or your no show fee for an appointment they changed and didn't tell you, now they're joining forces with Saratoga hospital?? Can only get worse. Be your own advocate and research, good luck.”

“I can not speak more highly of Dr. Herzog and his team. He was direct and straight forward with me throughout everything. Thanks to him, I am well on my to getting my life back. From the receptionists to the PA Chris, that whole office took great care of me. I would recommend him to anyone. Thanks Dr. Herzog.”

“I had my surgery with Dr. Herzog yesterday. And I would give this place 5 stars every single time. From the nurses to the surgical team, to phase 1 and 2 recovery...I have nothing but good things to say. This was my first surgery ever and I was SO SCARED because I didn't know what to expect. They were VERY kind and reassuring when I wasn't sure about how things would go. They walked me through everything and made me feel very safe and comfortable in their care. If you're in need of surgery, I wouldn't recommend you to anyone else but Dr. Herzog and his team of amazing medical staff! I feel like I'm on track to getting my life back. Thank you x100000 Dr. Herzog”

“I recieved shockingly misogynistic care from Dr. Herzog and his team. I saw them for 3 months for pain in my neck and numbness in my hands, was told I could do chiropractic care, PT, or nothing, I'd just get better. I was not taken seriously. Finally, on a 60 second telehealth appt. they scheduled an MRI. Based on the MRI, the surgeon informed me, on a telehealth appt where he was only phoning in, that I had severe compression of my cervical spine. He spoke very forcefully, used the words paralysis and death over and over and said that I needed surgery urgently (within 2 weeks). I literally agreed to the surgery he wanted just to get him to stop badgering me. When I started to ask questions, he became rushed and ended the phone call. While the surgery went well, my recovery has not and through no fault of my own. 15 months after surgery, with continued pain, swelling and muscle spasms, after the PA telling me patonizingly that I was fine, I just needed more time to heal, I met with the surgeon again. I had complained about the PA earlier, and then recieved worse care from the PA. The surgeon thought this was funny and also understandable that I would recieve worse care after complaining. At this appointment he interrupted me continually, when I told him to stop, he backed off, but slowly began interrupting again. He told me that my problems were likely the cause of the hardware used, which he defended, and blamed my body: "small women with thin muscles are sometimes irritated by the screws". He asked if I was married, alluded to me needing antidepressants, and at one point wheeled his chair over, began manipulating the front of my neck (where I still had swelling) with no advance warning, and no follow up explanation as to what he was doing. The focus of this appointment was him, his surgery, his worldview. When I said I was unhappy with the after care I had received he exclaimed " I"M BUSY, I"M in surgery". But he is responsible for the after care from his surgeries. They were more aware than anyone of the massive surgery done and while I was seeing massage therapists, lymphatic drainage therapists, Pysical therapists, etc all of whom were baffled at my continued symptoms, this office had the knowledge that the hardware can be a problem. At one point, about 7 months after surgery, the PA had said they sometimes take the screws out. I asked for more information on that and he refused, " let's not talk about that, that's not going to happen to you. " They also sent me to a ENT for testing who, when he couldn't find anything wrong, implied my symptoms (severe swelling and muscle spasms) were either all in my head or because I'd gotten fat after surgery. Now I'm dealing with hardware injections, conitnued symptoms and the trauma of having been treated so badly through this process.”
