Patient Testimonials

Dr. Sara Vandrovec and the staff are awesome here. My husband and I are healthcare travelers and work on a time crunch, they were able to get me scheduled right away for everything. I had my first epidural injection (out of 6) that worked with her, the one's after that didn't work... we then moved to a radiofrequency nerve ablation and I can say that the first time in 8 years, my entire body doesn't hurt. Sad to say my low back pain can make your whole body hurt, I feel great so far!

First off... No, they are not going to just give you pain medication. All of the staff have been great to work with. Melisha Vannet was very caring and compassionate. When I would have questions she would usually respond on the portal within a couple of hours. I also see Dr. Mahajan for back injections. He does a great job explaining the procedure and is very good at what he does in the procedure room. He has even personally made sure I get my injections on time when dealing with the insurance company, which has been greatly appreciated. If you are looking for ACTUAL help with pain, I would highly recommend the Sanford Pain Center.

Update due to response: I would just like to say Thanks Sanford for going out of your way to provide an automated response with a phone number that no one answers. Thanks for showing how much you care about not helping patients, I expected exactly this, NOTHING! One would expect a Pain Management Clinic to actually treat pain in patients. Well, guess what? NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. What I received here was a 20 minute discussion on everything but what would help me. They talked about all the wonderful procedures (which I have already done elsewhere) Acupuncture, Steroid injections, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, blah blah blah and so on. All things that they can bill in repetition every 3-4 months like clockwork and offer no long term treatment or cure. NP did not even bother to look at MRI scans, did not bother to touch me or examine me in anyway. I am sure glad I drove 6 hours to spend an entire day wasting, once again, time and money on the farce that is Sanford Health Care. Save your money, get proper treatment elsewhere because it won't happen at Sanford. What you will get is an endless supply of bills and ZERO progress at treatment or better, a Cure for your problems.

Up North

The First words the NP said to me was " your here because of the powers that be"! It went down hill from there. Never once, no not even close did she ever look at me. She read all the tests/therapies I had tried in last 12 years. As I was leaving she said as she was staring at the door/ "oh dang- he wants a physical - well, get on the table". Checked my heart squeezed her fingers. And on her way out pointed to shelf said you can take a card. Hers wasn't even up there so nurse got one for me so I could tell my Dr. crazy thing- I cared for my daughter who was in critical ,morbidity state- Mayo had requested hospice. New Year's Eve she wanted to attend church services. I got her ready - had to change her fentynal patch which required removing a clear bandaid similar to what's placed over an IV - it is put onto a tape that is on her skin, as her skin was dying off and couldn't be touched. Of course- had a pain test , and was told I was no longer Allowed pain mgmt . My Dr couldn't believe it. As the test was extremely minimal. For me I didn't like the insinuation - especially considering my daughters medical status - which my PCM was aware of. I would hope someone may care however what I got from NP OR PA in pain mgmt. It comes from above-- so doubt this will even be read. It's ok. My strength comes from above- only nine listens
