“I had my first visit at Oklahoma Pain Center this week! Unfortunately, I have been run through the mill when it comes to finding a good doctor. If you live in chronic pain, you know the anxiety of finding not only a doctor to treat you but to CARE. I am from Texas and have been having trouble finding a new pain management specialist here in OK. Right out of the gate, the staff was so warm and inviting. Definition of "Southern Hospitality" . I'm sure they knew I was nervous, but they couldn't have made me me feel more comfortable. Vivian specifically, went above and beyond for me. Just by getting to talk with her for a few minutes, I knew I wasn't anyone special, she just has a God given gift to make each customer she encounters feel like you've known each other your whole life! When I met Dr. Blake Kelly, he was VERY black and white with me. Which as a patient, I appreciated because most doctors will just say anything to get you out and their next patient in. Dr. Kelly spent 2 hours with me listening to my story and doing his best trying to educate and guide me! As a younger new patient, I have a little homework I have to do to HOPEFULLY get the relief I am looking for. However, I dont mind the homework at all knowing that I have a doctor that is willing to run behind the entire rest of his day to make sure I am feeling supported. The last time I had a doctor like that was in 2016 and I didn't think I would ever find another one. I dont know what my future holds at OPC, but I can say that if I end up not getting the treatment I am seeking, it wont be because the doctor just doesnt care or didnt listen to me! In the meantime, I look forward to my future visits here and am so grateful for the hope that they gave me. I am going to hold on to it for as long as I can!
