“Dr Loyd has always been very patient and understanding, he remembers who I am and my specific issues during every visit with him. He truly is a very pleasant young man. I've only had 1 bad experience at his clinic and then, it was a nurse that caused the embarrassing issue. Being in pain having Fibromyalgia and Sciatic spine issues makes twisting and reaching very difficult. On this visit to receive an epidural, the nurse naturally swabbed the lower part of my back with an alcohol wipe and immediately said to the other assisting tech "eew filthy, that's nasty" did you see that"? Living alone and not always able to reach my back made me who shower's daily feel "dirty". While I never mentioned this to Dr. Loyd, I have never forgotten it in fact, the next day I purchased a long handled battery operated shower wand. I scrub extra careful before all visits now.”

“Absolutely horrible experience with Loyd and his entire staff. First appointment I felt like I was rushed through and no one even wanted me there. When I met with doctor I had been in extreme pain for 10 days. Was referred to him by neurologist for steroid shot. Had orders to do it that day. He told me that it couldn't be done that day and I would have to wait 2 more weeks in pain. So I waited. On the day before my appointment to get it done the office called me to reschedule because he was going to be out that day. WHAT??? How are they allowed to treat people this way? Also very arrogant and acts like he doesn't care at all. Get out of pain management if that is the case. Never will I ever recommend him to anyone. Cant believe he is still in practice. Awful experience with doctor and staff. DO NOT GO TO HIM!!!!!!”

“Absolutely do not understand Dr. Loyd and certainly do not recommend him. Went to him for radio frequency Ablation for neck nerves to treat arthritis in my neck causing severe pain. Had exhausted all other forms of treatment and was looking at neck fusion surgery. For some reason Dr Loyd does not use anesthesia for his procedures (just one versed which does nothing!) and the treatment is extremely painful! After enduring treatment on one side of my neck, while I experienced relief the idea of going through another painful procedures again for the left side left me sick at my stomach. So I decided to research other pain management doctors in Lafayette and found that most of them provided anesthesia for this these procedures that made a world of difference! Do not understand why Dr. Loyd didn't offer the same anesthesia- see no reason to put patients through soooo much pain!!???? He also provided me misinformation on when I could proceed with treatment on the other side of my neck. He told me I had to wait six months to treat the other side and that is completely incorrect. He and his staff were also very standoffish and hurried you through any appointments with very unsatisfactory answers not to mention incorrect information! Staff very cold with no sympathy for people in pain! Just cannot figure out for the life of me why he would put people through such pain when there are alternatives??? Since my original treatment with him, I have found two other doctors that are extremely well-informed, really seem to care about the pain you've been in, very understanding and sympathetic staff and completed treatment on my other side with very minimal pain and better results than when he treated the original side!! Still can't believe what he put me through!”

“Dr. Loyd is so set in his ways and treats each patient the same way instead of a case by case base. He kept insisting on steroid injections for my lower back pain and numbness in my lower extremities from the back pain. Even after several unsuccessful injections he continued to only offer me injections as a treatment plan. I went back to my primary physician who had referred me to him to begin with and explained to her the terrible experience I have had with him over the last year and she wrote me a script for oral steroid pack instead of injections and then ordered some physical therapy and now I follow up with her every couple months and we do a steroid patch and my back hasn't felt this good since before my first back injury and surgery back in 2006!!! I would never step foot in Dr. Loyd's office again nor would I let any of my family or friends go to him for any issues as everyone I know describes the same issues I had with him that he just keeps throwing these injections at his patients that hardily ever relieve any of the pain his patients are having. For a Doctor that specializes in Pain Management he doesn't do a very good job of managing the pain of his patients.....”
