“I was referred to Rocky Mountain PM&R when Physiatrist Dr. Carlos Buckner first opened in Casper, WY over a decade ago. Having undergone a failed back surgery in Tampa, FL in 2011, I had almost given up on the ability to walk. Dr. Buckner and his staff accepted me as a new patient, and my entire outlook & quality of life vastly improved after my very first visit! Dr. Buckner and his amazing staff have helped me navigate through the absolute toughest times in my life. For nearly 2-years, my mobility was limited to less than 3-hrs a day, but we kept working. We tried stem cells to regenerate 2 discs, L4/5 & L5/S1. One disc was able to regenerated using my own stem cells in 2012 and is still good 12-years later. The other disc did not regenerate, but we still kept working. This eventually lead me to a synthetic disc replacement surgery at L4/L5 and a disc stabilization system for L1 through L3. That surgery was performed in Germany in 2014 and is still in place. For over a decade Rocky Mountain PM&R has cared for me like family. They have never missed a single appointment.
