Robert Salazar - Pain Management in Fresno, California

“I had back surgery one year ago. I do have chronic pain off and on since. Not only do I have bulging disc, I also have been diagnosed with degenerative disc disease. I was referred to Dr Salazar to manage my pain when it is exacerbated. I feel he had made his mind up before even meeting me. He said I am doing much better. All within my five minute exam. I tried to explain that two surgeons have recommend I have the fusion surgery. He DID NOT preform a physical exam. He did not check my range of motion or even question what brings on my flare ups. He developed a narrative to follow before meeting me. A flare up can happen from picking up something on the floor, doing yard work, sitting too long in a car ride. I know walking for 1 mile distance brings on pain. He totally ignored it and complemented on how young I look. I do not recommend this Physician. He needs to review surgeons suggestions, and the dictation of my last MRI. I have worked side by side with Physicians for over 20 years. Dr Salazar is NOT compassionate when it comes to pain management.”

“I have over the years seen Dr. Salazar and his partner and I will say that his staff and him are very pleasant. Not all procedures will end up working for us, as it would most people. So I feel it is unfair to blame their office or the Drs. As someone who works in the healthcare industry, I get it. When you are in pain and hurting it is so easy to lash out the Dr.'s and staff. But I have been treated so nice and professional by all staff. I even help get the info I know they will need to get my procedure approved etc. This is a very busy office. Sometimes we have to have grace with these offices. I reallly pray that everyone can get the help they need whether it is w/ this office or not. Respectfully.. I am excited to be seen again and get my pain under control. Thank you so much Staff and Dr.'s”

“I would have given dr salazar a 5 star rating if I had seen him more than once in my 4 months of being a patient. My last injection left me with bed ridden back spasms. They made me come in twice same day to get a prescription. It did not help. I called back twice 2 days later to report I was in no relief. When call was not returned I called back next day someone other than a dr called me back to tell me I couldn't be seen for 6 days from original call tillfollowing Tuesday following tues. 6 days after my forst phone call untiluntitllfollowing Tues the following Tues. This would have made 6 days Thu”
