“I wish I could give negative stars. If you want help or have any questions answered do NOT go here. Mevhibe meral atay is who I saw, very unprofessional and once I started asking her questions she couldn't answer, she stopped listening to me, got very defensive and walked out of the room. I hope no one gets treated like I did.”

“I saw Dr. Mevhibe Atay yesterday for severe pain for the first time. Immediately when she entered the room, without sitting down or introducing herself, she said "No more opioids! You will never be getting oxycodone here again!" I was given 18 tabs and told to take them every day for my pain because I do treatment everyday that is very painful and would send me to the ER without my oxycodone. She claimed that I was supposed to be taking the tablets they were giving me 1x a week. Which would mean they wanted to give me enough pills in 1 month to last me over a 6 month time frame?? Um no. It didn't make sense. She was yelling at us and getting out of her chair and then sitting down so my partner had to pull out his camera to record in case she became more violent. She was getting in my face and yelling at me while talking down to my partner. She also referenced a packet during my appt. that showed dates of appointments that were not mine. When my partner went back in to try to get the papers (because that's our right) after the appt., they acted super weird about it and said they couldn't prove that the notes she was looking at were actually from my chart and not another patients. My partner and I left scared and confused as she kept saying basically that she would blacklist me now. We never got to speak an entire sentence the entire appointment, she interrupted everything we said. So then when she said they don't offer oxycodone to patients that don't have cancer (even though my friends and family members have gotten it from that clinic!!) we asked what other options I had. She said there were no other options for me. Then what the hell does the spine and pain clinic do for patients who don't have cancer?? She literally would not answer and kept saying how I wouldn't be getting opioids. And we repeatedly kept saying that we understood that but wanted to know what other options there were. Then she randomly starts talking about LDN and prescribes it to me? And at the end she says "Oh yeah and I'm on LDN too." She never said goodbye or anything. She got up from her chair with her papers and just started walking out of the room. When I told her she was being unprofessional, she said "You're saying that because I'm not giving you oxycodone" To which I replied, "No we're saying that because you haven't answered a single question we've had or let us finish a single question we've needed answered" She also said I refused a drug test which wasn't true and I wasn't sure why she was then asking for a drug test if I wasn't getting oxycodone... I just left crying and so confused as to how someone could treat a human being that way and stand over me and my partner and yell at us for asking questions and trying to talk. She seemed very unstable.”

“I suffer from 2 hurniated discs and arthritis in my back. I have been getting steroid injections in my back with Dr. Adimi for over a year. The last injections I got, I noticed they were no longer working like they had before. I had to go into the clinic and look for next steps/options. I was assigned to the NP Meral Atay. I arrived at my appointment balling in excruciating pain. Something was severely wrong and I couldn't manage the pain. I was in a wheel chair and could barely walk. I have never been prescribed opioids with Dr. Adimi. This appointment was very different. I have never been in so much pain in my life. When I saw Meral Atay she was absolutely awful. She was incredibly insensitive to my back pain and offered me a steroid pill to stop the pain. The only next option she gave me was to get something implanted in my back to TRY and see if it would work. When I questioned this procedure Meral said there was "nothing more they can do for me" and WALKED OUT OF MY APPOINTMENT! My blood pressure at the time of the appointment was 185/99, I don't have a history of high blood pressure, this was clearly a reaction to the pain I was in. This nurse literally walked out of the office, offering me NOTHING for pain relief and left me there balling my eyes out. She walked out of the office and then called SECURITY when I asked to see Dr. Adimi. I never received a call back from anyone. I limped out of the office balling with a sky high blood pressure. The absolute WORST experience I have EVER had in a clinic. They advertise as a "Pain Clinic" but only push injections on you and refuse you any acute pain relief. They are NOT a pain clinic. Dr. Adimi knew about this and never even bothered to call me back. I would never recommend this clinic to anyone. I believe Meral Atay is the worst nurse I have ever met and I will never enter that clinic again.”

“I have been suffering with Trochanteric Bursitis which caused severe burning and muscle pain in both hips and legs. I was referred to Pain Clinic by Ortho. The first two visits were with Angie PA. At both visits she recommended that I continue with scheduled Gabapentin and Tramadol and discontinue medical cannabis. When I realized I needed a refill on Tramadol I called the clinic. They told me that a visit is required to get a refill. Angie was booked for the week so I had to see a different PA for virtual visit. She asked me why I had discontinued medical cannabis and was not aware of my diagnosis of chronic bursitis. She then told me that I would need to sign pain contract and have UA done for Tramadol to be prescribed. I was very confused as this was not explained at all by Angie at first two visits. As another reviewer stated, I felt that I was fighting with the clinic. They did not give me all of the information and then when I am confused and frustrated they treated me like it was my fault. The PA told me she would speak to Angie about this and call me back that day. I never heard back from her. I am looking to switch pain clinics as I don't like the way I have been treated and don't feel it builds a trusting patient/doctor relationship.”
