“I'm not sure if this review will stick but I'll try my best. This place doesn't require a referral but I got one by my doctor anyways. I had already started trying to get my medical records on my own. I and my primary got everything and I expected a date for a first visit . I called and the person on the phone said yes we got your records and the doctor left a note said he didn't see anything more he could do that the other doctors didn't do. It has been going 3 years since my nerve burn in a arkansas pain center and I'd seen a clinic in poplar bluff mo 2 times and got a minor injection on my shoulder and I didn't go back when I lost my insurance. So when I finally got through the 2 year wait of medicare , I was ready for help. I couldn't believe what she said. I was like can't he atleast do injection or meds. She said we don't do meds and she could ask him again. I thought why beg and told her forget and I'll search for someone willing. Nerve burns don't last forever and I know they could do injections so I give this place a big fat 0 for help ! Still blows my mind”

“After suffering for over two years with lower back and leg pain, Dr. Monaco performed surgery October 29 of this year. Not quite six weeks out and I feel great! The surgery was a success and I am no longer suffering with leg pain and the only pain in my lower back is from tight muscles from wearing my back brace. I start physical therapy next week and that will take care of the muscle pain. I am so grateful to Dr. Monaco and the entire staff at Regional Brain and Spine for the excellent care I received. “I have used the brain and spine institute in Cape Girardeau Mo for awhile now. I have had neck surgery and lower back surgery. I've just completed my level 2 back surgery with Dr Gena Monaco and her team. They have helped me tremendously. I could not walk for a month. Now I am back to walking and I barely have any pain. They were wonderful. They treated me with dignity and respect. They never treated me badly while I was in there office or the hospital. They have compassion and understanding. Dr Monaco is great, she explained everything I needed to know and made sure I never left with unanswered questions. Her nurses are down to earth and friendly.
