Patient Testimonials

I had my first appointment with Dr. Pilly and his team, and I have to say this has to be the best experience I have ever had with a pain management specialist. He doesn't just believe in prescribing medication, he believes in managing pain through proper body mechanics and I love it! He is knowledgeable, friendly, care for his patients as well his team. The facility was extremely neat and clean. I would recommend him and his team to anyone who needs pain management!

If you have a shred of dignity for yourself, DO NOT GO HERE!!! This office will rip it right off had the displeasure of going to this office, for the 1st time this week. I went with the intention of seeking newer pain management treatments and from the get go, my intuition told me that not only was I wasting my time, but also that the office and the staff were unprofessional, uncompassionate, and clearly only out to make money. Upon signing in, on the "sign in sheet" I saw no one. As I waited, another patient came in after me and did the same, still not seeing anyone. She got up to look at some information, to find out that to sign in officially, you were to put on a set of headphones and wait for, a human? An AI? We weren't sure! There was NO signage directing you to sign in this way so I was grateful she'd came across it!!! At this point, I had been waiting for a half an hour, and we still saw no one. Some time later, a man from the PT section of the building came through so I asked if he could find the receptionist for us. His response was, "she's probably taking a long lunch"... WHAT?!?!?!?! This was at 210, my apt was for 1, and the other lady in the waiting rooms apt was for 130!!! So, by this time, after an hours drive to get there I really needed to use the restroom, but being a new dr I assumed they'd want a sample so I didn't want to use it until I had a specimen cup. How could I get that, we cannot find anyone.. It wasn't until 247 that finally I was called into an exam room. The intern was a pleasant young man, and he clearly had his own concerns about his new placement, specifically how rude and unprofessional the woman who was supposed to be the front receptionist, office manager, or... what she was I really dont know, but she was extremely rude and didn't have a shred of care about it. She certainly did care about her phone though, her face was glued to it each time I did see her, and I also had to listen to her having an extended loud and very verbal argument with whomever was on the other end. Once, I went out of my exam room looking for an ok to use the restroom. I honestly thought I was going to lose control of my bladder. I found this woman, in her very large, very beautiful office, and again with her face glued to her phone. It took me THREE TRIES to get her attention!!!! At this point it is almost 4pm. As I am deciding wether or not I am going to walk out, the Dr finally blows through the door. He comes in and immediately is aggressive towards me, no hello im Dr Vikas, no,no no.. He says, "why are you here, I am not writing you scripts, whoever has been treating you will get in trouble for what they're prescribing you" He went on about this for a couple minutes and finally says, I can't help you, and I won't help you", and I hadn't been able to say a single word to this man!!! He was chastising me and making me feel like I was a literal crack head I could not believe his audacity to treat me in such a way, he made me feel like I should be turned face in Into a corner wearing a sign telling on lookers what a terrible person I am!!!! I felt smaller than a kindergartener, and I felt ashamed. Yes, I take opiates for chronic widespread, and VERIFIED pain! But seeking meds was not even the reason I went there! I couldn't believe how this stranger approached me, and then treated me. Without asking me what had happened to me, or asking me why I'd had so many surgeries, he immediately assumed the worst of me and made me feel like I WAS TO BLAME for my my pain and to blame for what my previous dr, that I chose to stop seeing, was prescribing me!!! I was so horrified and if I could have, I would literally have kicked myself in the ass for not listening to my instincts and leaving the office shortly after I first arrived I urge you, from the bottom of my heart, if you respect and value yourself and have any sense of pride or dignity in yourself, do not go here. They will rip it off your back in a blink of an eye.

My injury spans 23+ years and have been treated by a dozen pain management Dr.s. They have all either retired or left NY because of fear of ridiculous opiate rules. I am non operable due to disease.I have had facet injections, pelvic injections and epidural injections. Every medication from mobic, tramadol, lyrica etc even including fetenal and tried cbd. Had p.t, and chiropractic care. My current treatment that has offered consistent relief has been epidural injections and opiates for the breakthrough pain. My last Dr now retired cannot write scripts obviously so as anyone who has a workman's comp injury knows finding a pain management Dr is next to impossible. Weened myself off the opiates for over a month sitting in pain now. Called this supposed pain management Dr over 2 weeks ago and because of some snafu at the office after multiple contacting I finally got through. This supposed pain management Dr will not see me because my working treatment of epidural injections and opiates is not his cup of tea apparently. IMO he can't make enough money from comp. with this simple treatment regiment. So I sat for 2 weeks after being told the office would be in touch. 2 extra weeks of pain and no sleep. Apologies offered mean nothing. Now I am on the hunt again. I get the opiate problem but not every single patient is seeking or addicted. The drug is needed for quality of pain control and life. Again I've been off for a month plus and sit in pain because pain management Drs are not pain management Drs. They are leaches on the NYS Comp system for maximum profit. And that includes this guy! You reviewed my records and rejected treatment out of hand. No conversation. No consult. No discussion. A negative commentary and surprise I get the conversation. Never said you didn't offer epidural injections. I've had 2 this year and that leaves me only 1 more then 12 months of ... a treatment you don't want to be involved with. Financially not a winner. IMO that's a year you can't clean up on injections through comp. and referrals to acupuncture, p.t. etc. This isn't my first rodeo. Seen the good, bad and ugly of the pain management system. Guess where you fit in?!

Since my first appointment meeting with and engaging with Dr. Pilly and his staff, I have experienced positive, knowledgeable, helpful care and concern from each member that I came in contact with. Tina is there to greet you with a smile to make sure you are comfortable and taken care of while you wait (which is in a timely, acceptable manner) and she is ready and willing to help with whatever is needed. I am currently being treated with Physical Therapy by David and learning alot from him about movements and exercises that can help with my chronic pain in my back. Under the care of this team, I am confident that I will be able to manage my pain. I would recommend this office to anyone needing Pain Management Care.
