Patient Testimonials

Extremely difficult to become a New Patient at this practice. Referred a several days ago. I have continuously been in touch with the referring office. When I tried to be proactive the first date, "Melissa", the coordinator, gave me a "courtesy call" so she can say she called me back, but just to tell me the referral hasn't been received yet, and "as her voicemail recording states, SHE will call once it is received" basically. I gave it 48 hours, followed up again and now she claims to not have received the referral at all. I have done my part to follow up, even offered to send the referral myself so I don't have to keep communicating back and forth between offices. She wouldn't accept it. I tried to ask for the Fax number directly to make sure that it was sent to the right place. She refused to give it to me also. She wanted me to call the referring office and have them call her directly. The patient has been in pain this entire time while we are waiting to be scheduled. I cannot wait any longer, We will just go somewhere else if it is this hard to advocate to get an appointment. Extremely Rude every single interaction.

It's difficult to assign a rating to this practice. The doctors seem attentive and effectively deal with most of my issues. I'm 80+ and have had a pretty good amount of experience dealing with medical services, that said I've never come across a group with less attention to communication than here. Countless messages that have never been addressed, and no, I'm not pestering them for pain refills. Emails never acknowledged. There is no patient portal that I can find and I've been trying to access my medical records to no avail, they screen all calls and direct them to mailboxes that apparently are never accessed by doctors or PAs. I guarantee they will drive you crazy.

My experience here has been great over the 10+ years I've been a patient. People tend to be angry when they arrive at the place because they're in pain. I have a bulging disc for which I've been getting epidural injections for years. The treatments allow me to live a normal productive life. The staff have always been professional and helpful. Like most medical offices they are busy managing the ridiculous amount of paperwork required by the frigging insurance industry who are the true villains our society . I've had a great experience.

I didn't even become a patient here and it was the worst experience I've ever encountered. I'm 32 weeks pregnant and moved to SC. I was seeing pain management for years in WA state for CRPS, HEDS, a spinal cord stimulator & multiple rib surgeries. I received paperwork from this office to request records from my previous pain clinic and mailed them back. I called the office 2-3 weeks later just to follow up & ensure they received those for a new patient appointment. I spoke with Melinda and upon answering the she went into a monologue about how many documents could be received, what cannot be reviewed, the doctors are very busy and can't look at too much. Literally was not why I was calling. When I clarified why I was calling she gave a very heavy sigh and went into how that wasn't her job and reiterated how busy they are. I'm a nurse, I work closely with our referrals department at times and appreciate how busy they are, as am I as a nurse. However, I have NEVER treated a patient like this before. I told her I could sense some frustration and how I understand but it was not ok to speak to me like this. I eventually hung up the call as I do not HAVE to be a patient at their facility. She tried calling back two times but never left a VM. I guess if this office is so busy then she's doing a great job deterring new patients.
