Dr. Peter Witherell, M. D. graduated from Thomas Jefferson University Medical School in Philadelphia. He completed his residency in anesthesiology as well as specialized fellowship training in pain management at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. He is board certified in anesthesiology with sub-specialty board certification in pain management. Dr. Witherell has been providing interventional treatment of spine related pain in adults for over 20 years. He has been recognized by his colleagues by being named a "Top Doc" in pain management. He also served as director of the Christiana Care Center for Pain Management until 2003 when he formed Interventional Spine Pain Consultants, PA with his colleague, Dr. James Downing.
