What Patients Say
Patient Testimonials
“Dr.Calhoun is one of the best doctors I have ever been to. He takes time to talk to his patients & explains procedures in terms we can understand. He listens to us and answers any questions we may have. He also has a wonderful staff! His nurse, Brendan is so helpful in all things from appointments to questions about prescriptions. They are all a sweet, kind & considerate team working together to benefit each patient. An appointment with them is informative, caring, & putting your health & wellness above all else. I wouldn't go to anyone else.”

“One of the worst medical experiences I've ever had. Dr. Ramsey at Pain Centers of America on Shackleford was rude, dismissive, and extremely unprofessional. I simply asked her to explain my diagnosis, and instead of doing her job, she responded with an attitude and treated me like a nuisance. She spoke in a belittling tone and made it clear she had no interest in listening to or educating her patient. Pain management requires empathy and communication--both of which she completely lacks. I left feeling disrespected, unheard, and upset. If you value being treated with basic human decency, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I am deeply saddened about the way she talked to me today. She did not give me the opportunity to speak a full sentence she kept cutting me off when she told me that she has tried everything. I just tried to remind her that I only got this specific medicine because the pharmacy was out . This experience was deeply disturbing. Dr. Ramsey at Pain Centers of America on Shackleford showed a complete lack of empathy, compassion, or basic humanity. Her demeanor was cold, hostile, and belittling from the moment I asked a simple question about my diagnosis. Instead of helping, she responded with attitude and dismissal, as if my need for understanding was an inconvenience. What makes this especially troubling is that people come to pain clinics because they are suffering--physically, emotionally, or both. Many patients are vulnerable, overwhelmed, and desperate for relief. I left wondering: what if I had been struggling with suicidal thoughts? What if I was at my breaking point and came here seeking help? The way I was treated could have pushed someone in a very dark place even further down. A doctor in pain management should never make a patient feel small, stupid, or unworthy of care. Dr. Ramsey's behavior was not just unprofessional--it was dangerous. Her lack of compassion could have serious consequences for the very people she is supposed to help. Patients deserve to be heard, respected, and supported. Unfortunately, that was nowhere to be found here.”

“I luv my doctor she listens and makes me feel comfortable. Venecia Johnson is my favorite. The staff there are amazing. Thank you. Only thing I have to say is the wait time some times is a little to long but besides that great Doctors and staff.”

“I have been with Dr. I for about half a year and he knows what he is doing!!! He takes time to speak with you and your family and he is able to make a plan with the patient and family to attain a realistic pain free goal!! He is a very kind man and has a great bedside manner! In my opinion he is definitely working in his calling.”
