“After hearing so many great things about Dr. Vollmer, I was utterly disappointed to not even meet him. I get that the team model is common in healthcare practice, but to make an appointment with the physician and then be scheduled with the NP without any notification is disconcerting, frustrating and makes one wonder what other transparency is lacking. It is also unsettling to have the NP then make a diagnosis and plan a treatment for the physician to perform and not be evaluated by the doctor, especially when it directly contradicts the referring physician.”
