“I came here after an accident and my experience started out great, then went downhill. Getting an initial appointment was very quick in one day's time. Dr Mehta was great about referrals to physical therapy and pain medication/ordering imaging. Great doctor and no issues with him. Getting a follow up appointment after imaging took a few weeks and when I finally did get the appointment, it was with FNP Cassandra Danek. Her bedside manner was very dismissive and for lack of a better word, lazy. I can tell she read my MRI results for the first time in front of me because she missed the very last page that showed a crucial result of my spine. I had to point it out to her on my end. What kind of physician skims MRI results? And so poorly? Then she tried to diagnose me with a chronic disease for my clearly acute problem. I kept having to ask the questions and it felt like pulling teeth trying to get her to explain clearly why she thought I had this chronic disease. From there, she wanted to jump straight to an invasive surgery for me. I don't work in ortho, but I am a registered nurse who has taken care of plenty of acute pain injuries and it seemed like quite a stretch to give an otherwise healthy person such an alarming plan. Thankfully I was able to get a second opinion elsewhere where the new physician disagreed with the diagnosis, gave less invasive treatment, and I'm doing much better without the procedure suggested here.”
