If you like to be talked down to and be judged for needing pain meds to function than he's absolutely perfect for you! I spent two and a half hours there today and ended up walking out before finishing up my appointment!”

“I had been a patient of dr. Brian Smith when he was in practice here prior to his retirement. I had been going to this office for many years and they used to take very good care of me and help with my chronic pain from multiple sclerosis. I had always been satisfied with services here prior to recently visiting. I had moved away for a couple years so I hadn't used this office. I recently moved back into town and scheduled an appointment with the office thinking that I was going to get the help that I needed with my chronic long-term illness as they had always been so reliable in the past. However when I went to my appointment 2 months ago I first waited in the office for an hour and a half before they called me to the back then once I was back in the room they take my vitals then the nurse informs me that I now had to fill out a new patient packet because they have a new system since I had last been seen. now mine do I had already waited an hour and a half in the lobby and could have filled out the paperwork at that point so now I had to wait even longer to complete this paperwork before I could be seen by dr. Schmidt. I am about 10 to 15 minutes into filling out the paperwork then another nurse comes into the room and says, "I am sorry Ms. Augustus but we will not be able to help you today if you are expecting any kind of medication prescribed to you." I then asked why wouldn't you guys have told me that sooner after sitting here for two and a half hours and as I'm balling my eyes out because my pain is so severe at this point what am I supposed to do I'm here asking for help with my pain you guys are licensed pain specialist and now you're trying to tell me that you are unable to prescribe me some type of medication for my chronic pain! Then she goes to say well I'm sorry but dr. Schmidt no longer prescribe pain medication he only does injections. I know that is a lie because I seen him writing prescriptions for other patients who were waiting on them in the lobby so now I feel like the staff is lying to me and why would they not want to help me especially since I had been a patient here for many many years? I left the office in tears I'm feeling so hopeless with getting help for my pain. I have a serious chronic illness again multiple sclerosis so it's not like I'm coming in there with nothing wrong with me I'm just curious as to why they would be so quick to shut somebody down and turn them away when that is their job to help people with their pain I'm very dissatisfied and will never recommend this office to anyone.”

“Dr Smith's staff are fantastic they made you feel comfortable and we're very professional and knowledgeable and felt that you were an important patient to them.... with the procedure/injection on my back I was in and out in less than an hour and that was with anesthesia... Even though they told me it would take at least 2 days to have the effect of the injection I felt so much better in 2 hours it drop my pain level from a constant five to six to a level of two..... It is currently 20 hours since the injection and procedure and I am still at a level two constant.,. They said I might have some irritation or pain or the first 24 hours and to put ice on it and then heat but I have had no need for any kind of treatment to the injection area it's like never happened as far as that goes..,.... Now since it has been only 20 hours since the procedure only time will tell on the length of the effect but so far I am extremely pleased.,... I'm not sure if I can but I will try to give an update on the effects in a few weeks...... So far I highly recommend this company Dr Smith with his great staff it was a real pleasure”
