“I did go to the pain clinic at Boone Hospital. I quit after six month. I did not like having to go to as separate office than the pain Doctors and be totally managed by a Physicians Assistant, instead of a Dr. I was unable to just make an appoint to see a physician without first going to see the Physicians assistant. When I had an emergent issue, I was still made to see the Physicians Assistant in a separate office from the Drs. I ended up in the ER for 6 hours that day. Thankfully at the end of the day, when he finished in his clinic, I was seen by a kind Dr. Joe Meyers. I don't like at all the way the Pain Management Clinic at Boone is run. I wonder if my insurance was charged for seeing a physician when I only did twice, and the other office calls and disposition of medication was handled by a Physicians Assistant? Very disappointed, but the nurses were very nice. Long waits to see Physicians Assistant. Hard to get to clinic by phone, always waited for call backs. Sometimes, they never came. Would not recommend this clinic. Now when I go to see a Dr., I actually see a Dr.”
