“My almost 83 y/o mother has gone here several years only because she had no choice. I understand helping people to not over-use narcotics. She has debilitating arthritis, which is VERY painful, she's had her 4th joint replacement(both hips, now both knees). I went with her to her most recent appointment because she wasn't able to drive yet, and to get answers as to why they couldn't return mom's calls when she came home from the hospital. She was previously told she wasn't allowed to receive pain scripts from anyone except them(PM), so mom was calling them to call her in some pain meds. All day Wednesday went by. Mom left two voice messages. No return call. Thursday she calls and leaves another message. Someone finally calls her back, but says she can't get meds because she missed her appointment last week(she was at her pre-op appointment). PM appointment slipped her mind. She asked if she could get enough meds until her rescheduled appointment next week. The lady she spoke to didn't know and said she would find out and let her know. That never happened! Mom ran out of the pain meds she had by Saturday and probably did some kidney damage taking too much Tylenol to take the edge off. We get to her appointment Tuesday, they apologize. Mom's in a LOT of pain. They have to wait on Dr. for approval to order pain med. We get to the pharmacy and wait over an hour because they haven't received the order yet. This is after we went to Walmart to kill time. When they finally get the order they can't fill it because it was called in from the wrong office! Now we have to wait longer for the order to be properly placed! Mom is moaning in pain. We wait 30+ more minutes, but they still didn't have it, so I took her home without pain meds. It was ALL very frustrating and gut wrenching to see my mom in so much pain, and the pain clinic, WHO HAS ALL THE CONTROL, could, seemingly care less!! So very sad.”

“Nurse practitioner, doesn't want to do her job, and listion to patients who have lupus and are in extreme pain. Wants to keep prescribing same meds that do not work, even after rheumatologist suggesting to them uping her dose. They refuse to listen.”
