Patient Testimonials

I would not recommend for Medicaid patients or Medicare patients, also stigmas high, error prone, lack of communication through office and with outside doctors. Watch out for severe generalizing and misgivings without being remotely even heard as a human being still lucky to still be alive. Never read results to me so no medications should ever have even been interrupted. False play. His words were he's not there for the money as he only collected the insurance money this time. Nice one doc. I also left office with high blood pressure and no refills no concern at all. My blood pressure due to pain not being controlled and mind you he did send hospice my way. Killer much?

For working with people in pain and chronic illness, the front desk ladies are the most impersonal ladies I've met in a doctors office. I arrived at my appointment time but was told I couldn't be seen because I didn't arrive 20 minutes early to fill out paperwork. I apologized and said we had trouble getting on the road as my purse was stolen from the apartments that morning. She already had attitude and asked for my ID, I said I don't have that either but have a photo of it I could email or have my office fax it to her. She said it was fine if my office faxed it as long as she had something on file. She went back and spoke with another woman and they stood at the computer telling me he had no other openings that afternoon and to come back. He had been with a patient so couldn't ask him. It would've taken two seconds for one of my coworkers to fax over my ID and I could've done the paperwork for as long I was waiting there and the doctor wasn't even ready for me yet. I understand patients need to come with all these things and I should've called but if it was okay why cancel and make me come back? Our office sends quite a few patients here and Dr. king came highly recommended for my situation. I'm saddened his office staff doesn't seem to uphold those same standards or take 5 minutes out of their day to act like they care about patient care. I've been waiting a long time to be seen and sat in my car and cried. I didn't even get offered a Kleenex or any sort of acknowledgement on my way out. This isn't an office I would recommend if you're looking for compassion from your health care team.

Dr. King is incredibly knowledgeable and personable. He thoroughly listened and has been a champion and advocate for my unique pain issues caused from Shingles. Yeas, often times there can be a longer wait to see him but I've realized when he's met with me, he never rushes me or makes me feel like my situation isn't his top priority. He will stay with me until I feel completely comfortable and knowledgeable about our plan of care. I imagine he does that same level of care with all of his patients so it's worth the wait in the office. Dr. King has been progressive in his approach to my pain. I'm also impressed that he's able to perform many procedures in office without the need for a referral to another specialist or another location.

Update: Dr. King called me and we spoke about the matter. I appreciate that he called and talked over the issues I had with what happened. He was very professional and even offered to recommend me elsewhere if I chose to not come back to his office. I decided I would return to his office. I have an appointment tomorrow. I am very disappointed in Dr. King's office. On what would have been my third appointment I was running a few minutes and I called to say that. By the time I got through on the phone I was getting ready to pull in, whoever answer told me I was fine. Then someone else yelled I couldn't come. So I said I'm here I'll just come in. So I came in and they said after 10 minutes they cancel. I said it's literally just 10 minutes. I asked to speak to a manager. I waited at least 10'minutes for someone to come out, she also said they wouldn't see me. I told her this was a follow up on injections and they hadn't helped and also the medication prescribed wasn't helping and that my husband has took the day off. I also told her the last time I was there,,there was a woman talking with another patient and she hadn't finished her paperwork and the nurse and the desk girls were saying she was 4 minutes past her appointment and the still seen her. Then they informed me I was seeing someone named Matt who was a PA and not the doctor. I was told he said no. She asked if I wanted to reschedule and I said no and asked her if she could please let the Doctor know what was going on and my feelings. I waited again and she came back and told me they still said no. I honestly didn't know if I wanted to scream or cry. Being in constant pain is hard enough, and then to wait weeks for appointments and be turned away for being 10 late and having called to tell them. I will not be returning to Dr.King's.
