Patient Testimonials
“Dr. Melvin has seen my mother as a patient for over 20 years and has been the most honest and respectful doctor she has ever seen. He is very patient and kind and also a very caring person which makes a difference. He is willing to go the extra mile to make sure all his patients are well cared for and all their concerns are heard. The front end staff is always lovely every visit very warm and welcoming”
— Rebecca Bryant
“I went here in regards to pain management due to a bad auto accident. While I was seeing Dr. Melvin, my attorney referred my case to another attorney due to medical reasons. That will matter later. The procedures that Dr. Melvin recommended to relieve my pain my insurance will not cover as it's related to an auto accident. I had an LOP with this office and my previous attorney. The office had continued to send me bills for services I was told would be under the LOP. Instead of telling me upfront they cancelled my LOP because *I* changed attorneys without telling them (which is false, my attorney did that for me, I never wanted to and how was I supposed to know that was their rule?), they tried to pacify me for months like falsely telling me that if I had medical insurance, I had to utilize my medical benefits before using PIP benefits or LOP benefits (my case was grandfathered before that change in the law but I guess these people are not detail-oriented even though this line of work demands it). Moreover, I pointed out what do they mean "if" someone has medical insurance? Isn't everyone required to have medical insurance under ACA? The office assistant was very rude toward me, saying "Well I'm not going to get into a political debate with you." That woman is very unpleasant and unprofessional, which basically sums up this office. To circle back, I could not use medical benefits because it's auto-related, and the LOP no longer existed but they failed to mention that detail (again, not detail-oriented). I pointed all this out to Dr. Melvin for a $30K procedure (which by the way of course doesn't have a return policy if it doesn't work...), and he did not care in the slightest. He simply said I would have to pay in cash then, to which I asked, who has $30K sitting around? I guess he does because he is clearly only after money and not after the well-being of his patients. That's when he broke the news that my LOP was cancelled. So I asked why can't we just do an LOP with my new attorney, so I can get the procedure done? He said he doesn't know my attorney...so did he know my last one? Does he meet all attorneys? Or did he just not care, and didn't want to help me anymore? This review is really not about how broken this system is, but wanted to give a wholistic view of my experience here, which is what I'm reviewing. Which deserves negative stars if given the opportunity. Go to another office that is more patient-oriented and not cash-oriented.”

“Doctor Melvin and his staff performed injections. So far it really helped. He is very professional and he really took away some pain. Second round today. Staff and nurses are very sweet and professional. Thank you!”
— Jeffrey Foster
“One of the most professional offices I have ever been to. The staff is very friendly and thorough with explaining everything. The doctor really took time to go over all of my results with me and to explain testing needed and plans to move forward. I appreciate all of their hard work to get me going as a new patient and come up with a care plan.”
