I had a very difficult surgery complete in November and unfortunately have been mistreated by several doctors when asking for more appropriate treatment for my pain. When I say it feels like someone is holding a lighter to the surgery area constantly, I mean it. After being disrespected not by 1, but 2 doctors in regards to pain management, I was hesitant to reach out here. But from the moment the phone was picked up you could tell there was compassion, understanding, and respect. Dr. Gernert actually takes the time to listen to your concerns, I've even cried in front of him. And he acts accordingly. He explains the risks of what he is doing and just treat you like a normal human being. So compassionate, which is what all healthcare providers should be. “I have moved to FL from MI and after seeing 2 pain doctors in my area who did not help me at all and treated me with such disrespect, I decided to search outside my area, an hour and 30 minutes away, to this amazing facility.
