“It's like this. For twenty-five years I've followed a very simple and constant regimen. It was administered by a man who was a professional anestesiologist. He was very accomplished and two years my senior. When we saw one another we talked about personal things. I trusted his judgement with regard to my dosages and he came to trust my integrity and honesty. It was an ideal relationship. He told me that when he retired he'd be leaving his practice to someone who would want to reduce my intake of opioid meds. I was open to the idea. When I saw my hydrocodine prescription drop to nothing in a couple months effectively making my pain medication half of what I had become used to over twenty plus years I was not only shocked, my life and the way I'd lived it changed way too fast. I won't describe it because no one cares. At 75 years of age I hate change. I think Dr. Musson is a wonderful and well ordered person. There was one issue upon which we would seemingly never see eye to eye. I wish Black Stone all the best. They helped me locate another practice that I find easier to tolerate. “First of all, meeting the front staff was pleasant and I found them to be of good humor. Meeting Dr. Mark was pleasant as well. He was very receptive to hearing me express my experience with pain and it's intensity as well as the limitations it places on my quality of life and my desire to be a more involved partner to my husband who takes on many of the responsibilities formerly shared. I found him to be compassionate and sensitive to my situation. He further expressed looking into more current information suggesting perhaps an updated MRI as it has been quite some time since last performed.
