“Was referred here via Navy Medical for treatment for a lifelong disability diagnosed in 2007 that results in chronic pain throughout my entire body. Dr. Sohagia saw me for about 5 minutes, then prescribed me Lidocaine patches for my back (only one of my areas of severe pain), after I specifically told him that a) I already get them prescribed by my primary care doctor, and b) they don't help. Was told to get X-rays and come back in a month. Went through the trouble of getting X-rays from Navy Medical, and a month later showed up to an appointment with them in hand, and spent roughly an hour in the waiting room for a scheduled appointment. The waiting room was filled with people that'd arrived earlier than I had. I have a child that I schedule a caretaker for so I can attend appointments like this, and cannot simply sit around for hours waiting to be seen... and also, I can't physically sit around for hours due to pain. You'd think that a pain management center could spring for something a little better than the cheapest, spine-crunching chairs for their waiting room out of a sense of general understanding for their patients. I had to leave without being seen due to severe pain.”
