Patient Testimonials

Doctor Claflin is the first Doctor to listen to me completely, to not scream at me, & to not put me on a medicine patch that eats through my arm and doesn't help at all. The Staff is amazingly knowledgeable and helpful as well, and my life is changing because I no longer feel like I'm birthing a chain saw out of my back for the most part. I have extremely rare diseases so I'm aged twice as what I really am, I have severe disc problems from lifting & moving things I shouldn't have but was forced to for my entire life, compounded by extreme sensitivity to pain and environment, and having EDS, so I'm literally falling apart, and gravity is often times stronger than the muscle strength I have to move my body or appendages. Yes, this is confirmed by X-Ray, and I'm disabled and had to prove everything to endless lines of govt. professionals. I'm unlike most people who are the worst, I'm the worst of the worst and am lucky to have my body not give out yet like what happens to most males with my genetic, incurable diseases that have rendered my body useless and in pain that needs 24/7 treatment. My last Doctor from a DIFFERENT CLINIC wouldn't give me needed referrals and literally said, "NO", when I asked. OK Spine has an entire suite of pain nullifying options, and after I just reviewed their website, I'm EXTREMELY excited to see remedies and trial procedures involving nerves and electrolysis. I cannot stand needles nor the pain they cause, it's overwhelming, but I am signing up for every needle nerve procedure they have because I fully believe they can help me in the long run with the options they have. They also offer options for pain during these procedures, which is wonderful news because needles cause me extreme pain. I am no longer afraid of needle procedures after reading what they offer, and I know this can be life changing and a wonderful experiment for them to see if the procedures can help me from feeling like I crawl out of a plane wreck without medications. I cannot wait to get needled for the first time ever!! As for their professionalism, it's top notch, and you'd better be able to prove your needing of their services because everything is highly regulated and scrutinized, exactly as it should be. I completely put my life in their hands, and they are saving it, because I'm not stuck in bed crying everyday, and nobody has screamed at me for asking about a mobile assistance personal device like my first doctor at a different clinic did. I was told by my EDS doctor I will be on pain management for my entire life, which I never thought nor considered this to be an option, I thought I had to live with pain for my whole life, I didn't know about this treatment; I didn't know pain could be blocked, so it's life changing, and the last two clinics and their treatment plans were non effective, traumatizing and the "doctors" had what seems to be narcissistic type egos. This is NOT the case with the professional Dr. Claflin, whose bedside manner is an 11 on a 1-10 scale!! OK Spine with Dr. Claflin is where I should have been from day one. I highly recommend OK Spine if your current life means you can't have a life because of pain nobody should ever have to endure. It's simply not fair, debilitating and the scariest thing I've ever encountered in my life. Dr. Claflin, his wonderful Staff and Oklahoma International Spine and Pain has completely removed all fears and all pain, and they have options for permanent treatment that other places do not offer. I am in the best hands medically ever, and I'm truly thankful, I'm no longer confined to bed or break down in tears everyday! Thank You So Very Much, Sincerely, CB.

I received ketamine infusions here from my lifetime major depressive disorder they have been life changing. It has worked better than any therapy or medication I have taken prior. Lavona the nurse anesthesiologist that administers the infusions is absolutely wonderful and I have the utmost trust in her professionalism is top notch and she is a kind compassionate caring woman . I would have given five stars if it were not for the woman at the front desk she is rude condescending and dismissive .

I wasn't dropped as a patient here but I chose to leave after a year of what was a wonderful experience with Dr Halsell. I was seeing him for Suboxone and doing great with my recovery I passed every UA and had no problems until today when I was 15 minutes late for my appointment coming back from my grandfather's funeral. I told them ahead of time I was going to be late and you would have thought the world was ending. Dr Halsell is often not there and has had to reschedule me around his life many times but if I do that once it's a huge problem. They said this isn't the first time I've had scheduling problems but I've only had to reschedule one time before in the whole year I've been there. I finally got there and because I was taking too long to pee (a whole 5-10 minutes) they wouldn't see me or let me wait to try again. A whole year of progress down the drain. It's too bad because I loved Dr Halsell himself hes a really cool guy and I would have hoped our relationship and my recovery were more important to him than to deny me one time for being 15 min late and not peeing fast enough but it is what it is I guess, I'm just a number to him for insurance billing. So I'm going to taper off what I have left I guess and stay sober for myself without help. Just disappointed, I didn't deserve that disrespect. They have no idea what mountains I had to move to drive 3 hrs through strong storms and hazardous roads straight from the funeral and miss the last half just to make it there, only to be rejected and scolded like a child by someone half my age for not peeing fast enough.

I had been seeing Dr Halsell for a few years and started having my UA's come back with FALSE positives for meth (I believe it's obvious when a person is on that stuff anyway) but like I said every time they sent it off it came back as FALSE but because I couldn't come in for the third time in a month he dismissed me. I'm a mom of four who Homeschool's my children my husband is gone approx. 9 months a year and it is hard for me to drive over an hour one way three times in 1 month. This facility does not care about their patients or he would have taken the time to help me figure out why my UA's were doing this, not just dismiss me halfway through the month with no warning.
