“Best Pain Specialist I have ever been to, they always treat you with dignity and respect. I have been a patient here for 9 years and in pain management for 20 years, so I have had my share of bad doctors and poor staff. You DON'T have to worry about that at TIS&P, with Dr Claflen and his staff, they treated me with respect from the first day I walked in. “I was recently referred to Dr Claflin from my primary Dr who has been helping me in the interim until I find another pain Dr. I was told Dr Claflin could help me. Since I don't have insurance my out of pocket visit was $200. Right before Christmas I might add. I was told by Dr Claflin that he would "have to review my latest MRI" to see if it was still effective since it was last done. Then he would get back to me. And because I don't have insurance and am applying for disability he might not be able to help since I would need much further treatment that would cost a lot out of pocket. And also, that my fibromyalgia does NOT require the pain meds that I've been on for the last year or longer. Mind you, I've had this disease for 26 years and have jumped through every hoop every Dr has put me through. And because my pain is so great I'm no stranger to taking 30+ ibuprofen a day. And wound up with bleeding ulcers and hospitalized. Needless to say, I still haven't heard back from him and I guess I get to suffer through the holidays with no pain relief. For anyone that doesn't have this disease I challenge them to walk just a week in my shoes. I guess he doesn't believe in fibromyalgia. He was nice enough I just believed a pain Dr would help me with just that!!”
