“Thank you Northwest Pain institute. Wonderful staff!! Yes, the shots hurt, but within a day I feel so much better. My pain level down to a 2-3. Before shot 9. I have had low back pain since 2019. I have had 2 surgeries. The surgeries did help, but not completely. Now more shots for a little while until insurance okays another surgery. This Pain institute always makes me feel comfortable. “I've been a patient of Dr. Jorgensen's for roughly 8 years. I'm done with his clinic. I went in last month for a radio frequency ablation on my lower back. I've had the procedure done before, but it had been a few years and I had some Questions when Dr. Jorgensen came in. He never said hello, he never said anything Until I asked him how long I would be sore after the procedure and how long the effect Of the procedure would last. He said "you've had this done before. I shouldn't have to tell you all this again." He spent about five minutes with Me and then left the room and didn't say goodbye or tell me anything else. The procedure has not helped at all. I'm still in a great deal of pain.Every time I go in for an office visit, I see his assistant Michaela, who is nice enough I guess, but she uses a lot of medical terminology that I don't understand and she tells me that I need to give her responses as far as my pain levels so that the insurance will pay for my treatment. When she asked me my pain on a scale of one to 10, I gave her a number and she said "well it needs to be more than that so the insurance will pay for it." I never know what she's talking about and no one ever told me that I would not be seeing Dr. Jorgensen anymore except for procedures. Also, Michaela asked me at my last visit how I was doing. I told her "Eh, I'm hanging in there. I've been dealing with some pretty severe depression." She said "I think you're probably fine. You look OK to me." That really bothered me. Another issue is that the last time I was there I asked them if I owed them any money and they said no and today when I went into the app, I see that I owe them $70. I have consistently tried to keep track of what I owe them and I am always told that I don't owe anything only to find out later that I do. I will not be returning to this office. Dr. Jorgensen is lacking a great deal in bedside manner. He is not empathetic and comes off as rude and he doesn't really seem to care about me as a patient anymore.”
