Patient Testimonials

today i was greeted by the most rude and obnoxious employee i've ever encountered at NE Pain......started with sign-in and now in the future i need to arrive sooner because of new procedures for checking in ........using i-pad.....then downhill from there...i've been a patient here for along time and on a fixed income ..... usually i'm seen and billed for co-pay..... today however miss obnoxious loudly and in front of office full of patients she informed me that's no longer how it works you need to pay now along with the $1.21 ( yes loudly you owe us one dollar and twenty-one cents) from your last visit that insurance left unpaid..... had i known i would gladly have taken care of that but i wasn't billed or made aware of the charge..... i ask her if she could bill me and cb she points to a sign payment EXPECTED at visit..... i ask her when that changed and if i could mail it since it's in next months budget ..... she TOLD me to sit down and she would call her manager/supervisor..... after several mins and my scheduled appointment time came and went i went back to the window and ask her what's going on and again she stated she would have to call someone.... so i simply asked if she was REFUSING SERVICES to me based on n my age and ability to pay .... my question seemed to set her off ...... bottom line i wasn't treated for my severe pain and denied service......

You usually spend alot of time in the waiting room. The doctor I saw was very kind, thorough, and explained, in detail, what would be happening if I choose to implant the spinal cord stimulator. The trial helped me decide if I wanted to proceed with the operation. At first it worked wonderfully but as the years went by it no longer helped me with my pain and I had to seek out different options for pain relief. Overall, I would recommend this place to everyone but with caution.

When I came out I said to my wife could that have been a joke? I didnt get any relief, but I still got a bill something my insurance wouldn't pay i had Harvard pilgrim, only thing ull get in maine is cortisone shots n nerve blockers I turned to alchol after northern light in Portland wouldn't operate on me ive had to leave maine several times to do stem cell injection,s all out of pocket like this lyme disease insurance won't cover , every time it comes out of remission it destroys the cartilage in my knee,s and disc,s in my lower back . Thank God for stem cells in couldnt afford anymore hidden fees sorry I get it no money in a fix, u guys ever hear of stem cells? Or do u want me to keep running back n forth padding ur pocket and keeping people in a job? Sorry not gonna happen i cant live in that kinda pain without alchol and I wouldn't expect anyone else to either , but I guess thats all our insurance will pay for stuff that dont work

Is giving zero stars an option, yet? This place deals in money, not people. Did my initial intake and was told we'd have to focus on one spot before moving to the rest. They never got to the rest. Did a procedure I was told multiple times would take 3 months to see results. At my three month follow up, suddenly it could take up to a year. Told them I was still struggling and they discharged me. Was medically abandoned and ignored for 3 months by them, offered no supportive care whatsoever. Just injections. That's all they're willing to do. Called to follow up and magically had the appointment I had been waiting for. Front desk won't hesitate to give you an attitude or be rude to you if you ask questions or show any kind of emotion. Hands down the worst practice I've had the misfortune of dealing with.
