What Patients Say
Patient Testimonials
“I knew this was an awful place the minute I walked through the doors. Heriberto Figueroa accused me of having an attitude. Yes! an attitude of a person in chronic pain. The man has NO empathy, listening skills or bedside manner. He said I needed injections I asked him to please explain. He handed me 2 pieces of paper and ended the appointment. As a new patient to this clinic that has had a 25 year history of chronic pain my evaluation was less than 20 minutes. I gave him a detailed written history along with all my symptoms which he refused to look at. I believe he was the one with an attitude. The receptionist who gave me wrong directions to the clinic said my co-pay was $10 only to find that she charged my credit card $45. The MA/office manager looked and acted like she just crawled out of bed. I wouldn't let this team treat my dying dog. Save your time and money and keep scrolling.”

“I went in and was taken to a room and waited about 30 minutes. I was told the doctor would be in shortly. I was then taken to another room and told the doctor would be in shortly. 10 minutes later the doctor walked in and told me to lay down on my stomach, and I received a shot in my lower spine. I'm 81 years old and it took me a minute to get off the table. However, the doctor left and I was taken to another room and told the doctor would be in shortly. After about 20 minutes, I saw a technician walk by and I asked her when the doctor was coming in. She told me he probably would not be in and told me I could leave. I was then scheduled to come back in one week later to have a conversation with the doctor. I made the appointment and later cancelled it. At no time did I really see the doctor or converse with him. This is NOT how you treat a patient. Lots of patients filling the rooms and only one doctor.”

“NM Pain Associates is a great place to go if you have pain. The front staff is excellent, all nurses are nice, answer questions and Dr. Diego (what I call him) is highly intelligent and knows exactly what he is doing. I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you.”

“I called New Mexico Pain Associates and asked them if they do free consultations, and I was told "Yes." So I scheduled my consultation. When I arrived, they said it will be $60.00. I told them I was told it's a free consultation, and they said "No." Since I just drove all the way over there, I went ahead and paid the $60.00. Then I was with the doctor for about 2 minutes just so he could tell me that they can't help me. They still took my $60.00! I felt vert cheated. Even the doctor said he would talk to the office manager about a refund, but they are refusing me a refund!”
