Patient Testimonials
“I was directed to Faheem Abbasi following a hit-and-run incident, where I was not at fault, by a personal injury lawyer at Jacoby & Meyers. Although neither my wife nor I sustained injuries, the lawyer recommended that we both undergo examination, suggesting Faheem Abbasi and Franklin Kumar, a physical therapist whose office is adjacent to Abbasi's, back in December 2022. Both Abbasi and Kumar are not within my insurance network, which means I am responsible for the expenses. But I should have consulted my health insurance and checked online reviews beforehand, and I hope my experience can be help others. The good: Convenient local office in Elizabeth, and scheduling appointments was straightforward. The bad: The practice is small, leading to a lack of privacy as everyone can overhear discussions about medical issues. They conducted only a cursory medical examination, primarily asking questions and guiding through basic movements without a comprehensive evaluation. Additionally, the appointments lasted only about five minutes each. They suggested X-rays and MRI scans for serious issues, while simultaneously engaging in physical therapy sessions with his buddy Franklin Kumar across the hall. The ugle: Billing was unclear and inconsistent, with charges varying each visit. Recently, I received a bill for a urine drug test from an unfamiliar laboratory, totaling $3,500, without prior notification or estimate. In summary, I advise steering clear of this practice if you're seeking quality service. It seems they primarily handle patients referred by lawyers for injury claims, which might compromise the level of care provided while being money driven.”
